“Very friendly staff - great location in PV”
From the time you arrive at the Buenaventura Hotel you will feel like you are at home. The staff could not be more accommodating especially the wait staff i n the restaurants and around the pool. The location of the hotel is perfect and you can visit the downtown and the Malecon in a short 5 minute walk. We have stayed at the hotel before and were happy with our stay once again. It is not a 5 star hotel and for those that want 5 star accommodation do not stay here. It is a comfortable and affordable hotel close to the downtown. There is a nice beachfront and the pools are fine. The bars at the pool side are also good but there is no swim up bar. The food is good, lots of fresh fruit in the morning and an omelet bar and a variety of other breakfast foods, lunch is also good with a fine menu of choice. We often went out for dinner as that is part of the PV experience and only ate at the buffet a few times but there was certainly a good variety of food for those who want to stay at the hotel to eat. The all inclusive is well worth it even just for breakfast and lunch as well as all your drinks.
“Really great staff and location”
Walking distance to the centre of PV... Very clean... Great bed, best mattress of. Our trip!... Excellent hotel staff, very helpful and led tons of activities.... Smaller and a little retro compared to the big mega resorts in say nuevo villarta, but we liked that.... If you're looking for a giant resort with 6 beautifully landscaped pools and 5 themed restaurants, perhaps this won't be your choice... But we enjoyed ourselves and would return for sure
“will go back next year”
No gym alot of kids but otherwise ok
“Great location and service”
Great location and service. The walk to the Malcon is about a half mile, lots of shopping along the way. We didn't do the all inclusive but did try the breakfast, it was ok but nothing great. There are so many places to eat that I would suggest trying the local food, we ate around town and never once got sick almost everyone uses filtered water. If you want to do a tour, make the reservation at the hotel, the canopy tour was priced what I thought was fair and we had a lot of fun. We were given prices from $80-$20 as we walked around. Be carefull of the cheaper tours, they will likely include a "vacation club" stop i.e. time share. There is a grocery store about three blocks down the street and a mini mart across the street.
“nice place”
i was there for a destination wedding. it was very beautiful. i had a great time.
“Great Local Hotel with Amazing Service”
Went for a full week and had an amazing time at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Always going the extra mile and helping out. The pools are wonderful. The double room was clean and simple, just want you need at a beach location.
“walking distance to downtown”
hotel is within 5 min or less walking distance to the Malecon (famous downtown area) you can even walk past downtown to the romantic zone area in about 30 or so minutes. The hotel was great, had all inclusive mainly for drinks, food was mediocre and wasn't all that great, we got better food from walking the town. The all inclusive food is decent if you are just looking for a quick free bite, or want to eat nachos, fries or a small snack while gulping down alcoholic beverages at the pool or bar. If i had to stay here again I WOULD, and I'd do the all inclusive too for the alcohol. the room was decently sized for two people ( deluxe ocean view with patio) bed was on the hard side, and plasma tv was probably a 24 inch but it was a decent place to stay and I would stay there again. only problem I had was housekeeping forgot to refill my room towels and i had to call the front desk to have some delivered to the room, other than that it was a good place to stay.
“Fantastic Location, So Friendly”
We really enjoyed our time at the Buenaventura. We didn't do All Inclusive as we prefer to experience new restaurants. However next time we'd probably book Buenaventura due to the great location and do All Inclusive since it wasn't very costly, and drinks were more expensive in PV than we'd expected. Hotel Staff was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating and distance to the Malecon was a short walk. Great experience!
“Super hotel in the ZONE....”
We just loved our hotel staff, super friendly and helpful with no language problems. Great location, only 4 blocks too the malecon walk and old town shops and all those little markets. We didn't need to taxi everywhere. the room was small but clean with great balcony view of the ocean beach. concierge very heplpful and fast , Ask for melinda's help.. Food was great, fantastic flaming coffees at the Rodisso club.we did all incl. and never had empty drinks. Again, the staff was SUPER. The hotel is so close to the beach, we had dinner just 75 feet from the waves, This is not a marriott, but thats not what we wanted. Plenty of old school charm. We can't wait to Go right back. next year.
“Great hotel”
