“Blue Chairs - Dec. 2010”
Great experience overall! Water pressure in shower was low, but you can't have it all when traveling! And low for me, may be high to them... Hotel and room were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, The restaurant manager and his staff are the best!
“Vacation of a life time!”
This hotel was fantastic. It is not a five star hotel, but so much like being at home. The staff has got to be the best in the world. If they did not have what you wanted, they would go get it for you out in town. Clean clean clean, housekeeping has this place spotless. You are right on the beach, which is the best beach in Puerto Vallarta. We will be back for sure, no question about that. I don't think anyone could go wrong with this hotel. It is located in oldtown of Puerto Vallarta, which to me is what you go to Mexico for. If the hotel staff gets to read this, I want to say thank you all so much for a wonderful vacation.
“Great place to relax”
Staff was professional and friendly. You couldn't stay at nicer place right on the beach. Some rooms are small but ours was spectacular. Can't have nicer people to be with on the beach or the hotel restraunt or roof bar. You'll meet lots of great other guests, too. Enjoy!
“Authentic”
Awesome place to relax. This is an authentic Mexico experience, not the Americanized version you get at the mega resorts. Don't go expecting this to be a Marriott or Hyatt and you'll be very pleased.
“Going back in Feb”
Would recommend this hotel
“Loved my staff”
Enjoyed the staff very much They were just alot of fun
“Much Better Than Last Time”
This visit to the Blue Chairs was so much better than the last time I was there, when I had a room for 5 days with no running water in the kitchen or bathroom sink, and only hot water in the shower. This time, the room was beautifully refurbished, with impressive stone floors and a very nice bathroom with modern fixtures. The hot and cold water worked just fine, as did the air conditioning, which I had to turn way down or I would have frozen. (Even with the temperature outside averaging 87 degrees during the day). I also enjoyed the modern flat screen TV, and was quite impressed that the WiFi worked perfectly in the room. The front desk was very pleasant, as was the maid who kept my room spotless. It is clear that the hotel is attempting to update their rooms, as well as their image.
“Not bad for the price.”
This is a fine hotel, just don't come with high expectations and you'll enjoy. Had to ask for towels daily, seems the laundry's onsite and there can be a delay in replacing. Also if you get a room with the newer AC, it takes some getting used to the controls, otherwise the room will freeze and the air blows right down on you in bed. Location is perfect, you'll never need a cab except to get to and from the airport. The new rooftop is spectacular and during the day it is empty. Duing the day only guests have access, you're almost guaranteed to have the pool to yourself.
“Gay texan”
Excellent option for the gay traveler.Close to everything you might need.
“Great fun”
It was a fun trip. Staff was extremely helpful in all ways.
