Nice hotel on the beach, near the airport.

Posted 22-Oct-2014
Stayed here for just one night prior to our flight out of San Juan. Great place to stay and get your last rays on the beach, along with some very tasty cocktails, before heading home. Comfy Canopy beds and cozy beach furniture make the beach look like it belongs to a high end resort. The rooms, not so much! Despite the fact that they are clean, and freshly painted, some of the room doors are cracked at the bottom, and other common space stuff could use some attention. However, staff is nice and accommodating. Food is yummy in the hotel restaurant, and waitstaff will serve you right on the beach, which is a plus. Best Mojito in Isla Verde!! I would definitely recommend for a brief stay prior to heading home.

Creepy, neglected, dilapidated facilities

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: The only decent aspect was the staff at the Cafe La Plage who were nice but not enough to justify staying in such a creepy place.
Cons: Everything.
This was the worst experience I ever had in terms of hotel facilities. It is dilapidated, and totally neglected. The windows are covered with plastic and the blinds cannot even be open. There is no refrigerator or any facilities in the rooms which typically are found in 2 star hotels (e.g., an iron, hangers). It took 3 hours to get towels and the room would not be cleaned up unless you explicitly request it. It is unthinkable this hotel is rated as a 2.5 star hotel in Expedia which can be very damaging to its reputation.

Never again

Posted 13-Sep-2014
This was my third stay at this hotel. I hadn't been there in two years and boy how it's changed. The room was awful. I don't expect much but I do expect clean walls. There were scuff marks everywhere. I stayed five nights. I didn't request maid service until my third day. I stripped the sheets so that the maid would know that I wanted them changed. I left my room at 9AM and returned at 1. The room hadn't been touched. I left the room and went to the beach. When I got back to my room, I saw the maid had been there. At night, I turned down the sheets and saw that they had not been changed even though I STRIPPED THE BED MYSELF!! There was still some sand in the bed and I saw that there was a stain on the sheets left from my makeup. I mentioned earlier that I waited several hours for maid service. Checkout is at noon. The day that I was leaving, prior to checkout, I was in my room getting undressed when the door began to open. I screamed. The door clothes. This happened at about 11 AM. There was no sign on the doorknob requesting maid service. The front desk was often unmanned during the day. The staff at the bar/restaurant was amazing and I would recommend hanging out there during the day or night. Do not stay at this hotel. DO visit the restaurant.

Dear Misscapulet, thank you for taking the time to write your review. We appreciate the fact that you have visited our hotel on several occasions but certainly regret that your most recent stay did not live up to your previous experiences with us. As you already know, maid service in our hotel is always available but is upon request. We make every effort to keep the rooms clean and comfortable. I apologize for any shortcomings you may have experienced in this respect but I am sure that had this been brought to the attention of our front office staff they would have been obliging and more than happy to remedy this situation. Regarding the front desk staffing, there is always a front office attendant during the day. He/she may be checking a room or be performing some other task that requires that they momentarily leave the front office but it is never unmanned during the day. I would like to thank you for complimenting our restaurant and bar employees and we will be sure to share both the positive as well as the constructive comments with our entire staff. I thank you for sharing your experience with us and for having chosen our hotel on several occasions and hope you will give us the opportunity to serve once again.

The Beach House Experience

Posted 30-Aug-2014
Pros: The beach and everything was convenient and with walking distance.
Cons: The water supply of the beach house.
Location: There were several restaurant and fast food locations along with great shops to buy souvenirs from.
It was an overall great experience to stay at the beach house hotel. The service was awesome and the backyard of the hotel featured the beautiful waters of puertorico.

Beautiful beach, but....

Posted 19-Aug-2014
The hotel sits right on a gorgeous beach, with numerous beach activities available, so if that's all you care about, this is the place for you. We, however, wanted more than that, and unfortunately the hotel proved lacking in almost everything else. The room we had was very small, with 2 beds, an ancient tv on the ceiling, and plastic windows. It wasn't dirty, but it didn't feel very clean either. I have to say, thought, that most of the employees at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Close to beach

This isn't a hotel it's more of a motel, the rooms are to small and nasty. We had to stay out all day till late at night just so we won't have to stay in the room. No space and totally an unforgettable experience. I would never recommend this hotel toanyone.

Thank you for sharing with us. We are sorry that our property and amenities did not fulfill your particular needs and expectations. Our rooms, though not luxurious, are comfortable and well appointed. All include air conditioning, television, bath with upscale toiletries, and blow dryer and irons upon request. Nonetheless, our most prized amenity is that our rooms are practically on the beach...one of the ten best urban beaches in the world as described by Conde Nast. Most of our guests would agree with you on one thing and that is that they would rather be wallowing in the warm ocean waters or strolling on the sand or having drinks at our tropical bar than being in their room.

Don't expect quality. The only good thing is the location and the personnel.

Ignore their website. Place is outdated. Very. Bar opens at noon. Closes at 10. Room has coffee maker, but they don't provide coffee or condiments. Flat screen tv dates back to the Arc. Front desk staff vacant
