Located on the beach in Isla Verde, this hotel is designed to make the most of its oceanfront location. Indonesian beds draped with white gauze are set directly in the sand among palm trees. Tables on the beach are lit with tiki torches for private dining at night. The hotel's restaurant and bar, Café La Plage, specializes in fresh seafood and Caribbean and Asian flavors. The outdoor lounge draws a local crowd at night with live DJ music and outdoor couches and chairs. Oceanfront massages can be arranged. Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel, and complimentary coffee and newspapers are provided in the lobby. Hotel staff provide wedding services and tour assistance. “Beautiful Puerto Rico”
This is my third trip to Puerto Rico. I love the island it is so beautiful and the people are so friendly. The hotel was absolutely beautiful!!! It was perfect for me (I don't like the big chain hotels). I walked up to the hotel and was amazed it looks just like the pictures. I got to the room a nice basic room, bed, TV, and (really nice) shower. The best part of the hotel is that its ON the beach. You literally walkout of the hotel on to the sand. I read one review that said the night life at this hotel was too much. I do not agree. It does have a bar and lounge area that plays music. The crowd was not loud or wild. It was like I walked into a nice lounge on the beach. Then again I am from Miami so, I might have a different view of what loud and wild is. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a nice clean hotel and to stay on the beach. It was perfect! When I go back to Puerto Rico I will stay here again.
“Cannot wait to go back:)”
This hotel is perfect if you want to be around the beach. The patio and bar area are located on their private beach, and the rooms are very comfy and cozy. Definitely recommend this hotel!
“Great location and staff, loud music”
Excellent location and staff, clean room. However, it's located on top of a nightclub, so on Friday and Saturday it is extremely loud.
“Beautful little extras... love the canopy beach beds!”
Really enjoyed our stay... great value, good sushi across the street, good location, beautiful beach and LOVE the canopy beach beds and other decorations as well as the visiting iguana =-)
“Great hotel right on the beach. Fun for couples.”
Hotel was in a great location. The chairs and beds on the beach were great. The beach behind the hotel was very nice. I would love to go back again soon!
“Felt like a friend rather than a guest”
From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly and efficient. Staff was extremely helpful in providing information. The owners had breakfast with the guests each morning. Food was very good. Rooms and grounds were immaculate. Small, family owned allowed for more personal service.
“Spring Break Hotel”
The hotel is ideally located. It sits right on the beach, is near to the airport, and is a brief taxi ride away from Old San Juan and Condado. The rooms are comfortable and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is chic and trendy. This hotel does not have the amenities of a larger five star hotel, but it does have a unique charm that is more suited for a younger crowd.
“Beach House Hotel”
Great location right on the beach and walking distance to everything else you need like Walgreens, bars, casinos, resturants, etc. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Make sure you hit the bar at happy hour (4-7pm) or else drinks are kind of pricey there. Food at the hotel resturant is expensive but problably worth it, they feature Maine lobster and Kobe beef. I had a great time and would stay there again.
“Good for young people”
We stayed here for one night in October and found it to be very pleasant. We stayed on a weeknight, so there was no loud music or nightlife. After walking around the hotel looking for somewhere to eat we realised the area is not so great - there is a massage parlour and condom shop just accross the street. The room was small but funky in its design and the lady at the front desk couldn't be more helpful. There was a really powerful airfreshener in the room that seemed a little overpowering at times.
“The Beach House Hotel”
The restaurant and the beach area of the hotel is amazing. The staff is very helpful and the suite is very nice. The only critique that i might add is that the rooms need to be less "dreary" and there needs to be bolt locks on all of the doors. This hotel has obviously made progress in the last few years and if you are looking for a small place on the beach in San Juan, there is no better. It gets a little loud weekends with the club being IN the hotel, but it is still worth the trip and a great value for the price of accommodations.
