“PR at it's best”
La Concha employees are customer service gurus! A warm greeting from the time the taxi door opened to the champagne at check in. The property is well maintained and very clean. I'd definitely go back.
“Great Hotel”
Hotel was itself was great. The location needs a little work, nothing really to see with in walking distance. There is a lot of construction going up around the hotel, so it probably will get better. The beach is clean, it is on the wavy side of the island, so don't expect the awesome beaches you see in all pictures. I would definitely go back!
“Loved it!!”
We loved this hotel. The views, the pools, the breezeway, the gardens, everything was to our liking and we would not change anything.
“La Concha was great”
The staff was very helpful, the concierge set up a fun guide for a trip to the rainforest and bio-illuminescent bay. The room itself was an ocean room, beautiful and clean accomadations as well and a georgeous lobby. The grounds were also very clean. Two complaints were the construction and jack hammers in the background. Luckily I had my portable ipod stereo and sometimes the staff by the pool were a little slow. The hotel overall was beautiful!!
“We loved La Concha!”
I had my first visit to Puerto Rico with my 4 teenagers, and we had the best time. La Concha is like a dream hotel for lounging in the sun, on the beautiful beach, in the pool, in the little mini-hot tubs. We were in heaven! The service was impeccable, the staff were sweet and the value was excellent. I can't imagine a more perfect place. I'm dying to go back.
“Very nice long weekend”
Nice location on the beach, very clean and with friendly / accommodating staff We're looking forward to returning
“Puerto Rico's Best”
Don't listen to the negative reviews. We almost did -- so glad we didn't. La Concha is a fantastic hotel. It's a great mix of luxury and style. I can't wait to go back. We checked out several other hotels, just to be sure. We toured the Ritz, the El San Juan, and the Intercontinental. No contest. The Ritz was safe but nothing special (also windy and filled with 60-somethings), the El San Juan reeked of Vegas, and the Intercontinental was blah. The minute we set foot in La Concha, we knew it was the best and never looked back. La Concha is a unique, stylish, and sophisticated place. It a luxury hotel with much, much more flavor than its rivals. If this is what you're looking for in Puerto Rico, look no further.
“The Best Hotel In San Juan, Puerto Rico!”
I have been visiting Puerto Rico for over 35 years (I am Puerto Rican), by far the Concha Hotel is the best! The personal one-on-one service was superb! My room's view was "Heaven", Overall La Concha's staff where friendly and professional. The brunch was the in the island. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, contact me!
“Fun in the Sun”
First off have to say I LOVE Puerto Rico. My 3rd trip in 2 years. I stayed there from Nov. 29th through Dec. 3rd. The sun was out on arrival from NYC and felt like it was heaven on earth. Got to La Concha earlier than check in, but they were able to give me a room immediately. I asked for an upgrade from the resort view to ocean view, but they would only upgrade if I paid $50 additional per day. Decided to stay on the resort side Arrived on a Monday to depart on Friday. Didn't seem like it was too crowded but the concierge was very courteous and friendly. They were upgrading the room keys so had to change the room key. Pool side staff was incredible. Drinks were incredible and the sun was incredible. Would definitely go there again.
“Excellent hotel”
Our stay at La Concha in July 2010 was nothing short of fantastic. The modern, stylish lobby combined with friendly, capable staff made a great first impression. Our suite was brand new, and looked as good as the pictures on the website! Flat screen TV, great balcony, comfortable furniture, and powerful A/C. The pools are fantastic, as is the beach directly in front of the property. Restaurants and bars in the hotel offered quite a selection and really good food. The location in Condado on Ashford Avenue absolutely cannot be beat. It is right in the center of the restaurant, shopping, and nightlife of this trendy San Juan neighborhood. Taxis are available right outside, day or night, and there is usually a staff member out in front to help expedite that process. Next time I go to San Juan I will undoubtedly stay at La Concha.
