“Worth more than we paid”
The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and in good condition, the location was within walking distance to 2 uncrowded beaches. Reasonable distance to everything you could want and very cheap bus fare to Old San Juan. We were more than pleased with our stay. Again, the staff was incredible and helped us find our way places, made suggestions about tourist activities, helped us procure a rental car and watched our bags on the last day so we could go touring even after checkout. They were on a first name basis by our second day. Very lovely people.
“Will always stay here when in San Juan”
The hotel is very quaint, not too big, with a beautiful view of the harbor from the roof. The roof is decorated and pleasant. Rooms clean, and extremely close to the port if you are cruising. This was our second stay, and we will be staying there the next time we go back!
“This is a perfect place”
If you enjoy the culture of San Juan I highly recommend, this was quant and situated inbetween the beaches and Old San Juan. The roof had a gorgeous view of everything, so the name doesnt lie. THe rooms were well cleaned, the desk clerks were fluent in english and spanish.
“Puerto Rico's best customer service - hands down!”
The hotel had an ideal location. It was just a few minutes away from everything by taxi or bus. It was very clean, and the service was spectacular. We rented a car while we were there. Sylvia - the manager - not only helped us find the best deal on a rental car in San Juan, but she also gave us hand written instructions to all of our destinations throughout Puerto Rico. Anytime we got lost, she was only a phone call away to help us figure out the mess we'd got ourselves mired in. Manuel was also an amazing help (he also worked the front desk). We had a few general ideas of things we wanted to do around Puerto Rico - he took the time to look up the companies responsible for the tours or activities we wanted to do, found the best price, made our reservations, AND helped us with directions. Also, our bathroom light burned out - at 11:00pm, he personally changed the bulb himself. The room was clean, roomy, great light from the numerous windows. The patio on the roof was perfect for a nightcap or sun-bathing with a book, when time allowed. It was a decent hotel for an excellent price, but I can tell you that I would stay at this hotel purely for the customer service alone. Puerto Rico is still very behind on the development of good customer service - Miramar is ahead of its time, its fellow hotels, and could show a few American companies a thing or two.
“Nice and quiet hotel”
Nice staff and close to main streets. No complaints at all!
“would recommend”
We found this small hotel quite comfortable. The room was spacious even if the bathroom was a little tight. The rooftop view was very nice in both evening and daytime. The restaurant had very limited seating but the food and service were good.
“Very quaint!”
The hotel is very quaint! Front desk help is incredible. Rooms are spacious although the beds are a bid hard. Quiet area but close to a few local stores...1/2 block to the grocery store. The view on the rooftop is fantastic!
“Nice hotel, Excellent people. Very friendly stuff.”
The hotel vas very hard to find, but with the hotel directions it became easier. We were there for only a day, but it's very good for the price we paid.
“Quiet Little Hotel”
I traveled here from New York City and I found it to be a great value for the budget traveler. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the beach through streets that you had to run across since they were exit ramps from the freeway, but were passable. I felt safe here as the police presence is very high, and frequently walked out past 10pm. The hotel is near little stores, a supermarket 2 blocks away, a pharmacy, and a few fast food places. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves very much. The room was not small, tv, refridgerator, microwave oven, and a safe were in the room. Room service was also available, but we chose to eat out on the strip on Ashford Ave. Everything was kept very clean. The only thing that the hotel lacked was a pool, but we made up for it by going to the beach and borrowing the pools of other hotels on the strip. We definately liked our stay here and would definately reccomend it to anyone who is looking for a quaint little hotel.
“Close to everything!”
Even though this hotel was not in the center of town it was in a central location. It has a grocery store one block away and a beach ten minutes walk. This hotel is centrally located.
