“Would like to go back in October.”
They only thing that I didn't like was that my husband got sick, on evening in the pool. I ran to get help and no one came until everything was over. I am glad that he recovered quickly. Also, the park lot is far from the hotel and they only have one van to take us from and to the hotel. Somethings, it was late at night and we could fine anyone.
“Nice resort, food a little pricey”
The resort is beautiful as is the private beach with a nice pink coral reef that you can snorkel. Just watch out for the waves. The food at the resort is a little pricey so get food from the walmart in town if you can or rent a car. You can also take a bus from the airport to the resort. Just call ahead to reserve. Go off season and you can save yourself a bundle.
“Great Private Island...awesome ocean view!”
Timeshare presentation was really high pressume, but other than that views are spectacular, pools big and not too crowded, beautiful island beach. Food and drinks and spa are very expensive at the resort.
“Fun in the Sun”
Hotel was impressive. Hotel could use Queen beds instead of double beds. Dining was expensive, but after figuring what an all-inclusive would cost after room and airfare, the costs were about the same. Palomino Island was great and a "must-do" while at this hotel.
“Just what I hoped for...”
The hotel was beautiful in all aspects. It is totally self sufficient. Also, there are many ways to cut corners so that it's not as expensive as many people say. The service was spotty at times, but not to the point where it ruined my vacation. I don't think I would stay anywhere else if I were to go back to Puerto Rico. It was great!
“Amazing Views”
This hotel property was amazing. Everywhere you look, you have a beautiful view of the ocean. There were plenty of restaurants to chose from, and the food was very good. Puerto rico is a beautiful island with a lot to do. My 8 and 10 year old,as well as my husband and I, enjoyed the rainforest and kayak excursions. The beach was rocky, but full of neat sea life to explore. We really enjoyed our spring break at the el Conquistador.
“Great value.”
The hotel and staff were great. Great value. Would definitely stay there again.
“A vacation I can't forget”
The resort was all that I had hoped it would be. Had a garden view room on the fourth floor. View was stunning; El Yunque and Luquillo Beach were my vista. Service was top shelf. Dining experience was mixed. Food and service in Strip House was excellent. Food in other venues was a "B" on an A-F scale. All food and beverage is pricey; two burgers and fries and two beers and tip set you back $50. We found several offsite restaurants that the concierge recommended that had excellent food, atmosphere, service and value.
“El Conquistador was fantastic!”
I love love loved the El Conquistador. The best part was the private island that you take a ferry out to. Clear blue water, mountains in the background- it doesn't get any better. This resort literally MADE my trip to Puerto Rico. Wouldn't have been the same if we'd stayed somewhere else... Totally perfect.
“The Best Hotel in Puerto Rico”
The hotel was beautiful and relaxing. The food is extremely expensive so make plans to eat elsewhere. I had to change our reservation because of a political convention going on the day of our stay, that I didn't know anything about. So I had a hard time changing it because they wanted to charge me the full price of the stay.
