“Great location in Old San Juan”

The Cervantes is located on one of the famous "restaurant streets" in Old San Juan and easy walking distance to the rest of the old city. Our standard room had a small balcony overlooking a back street. (This is a good thing because it's more quiet at night.) The friendly young woman at the front desk served our complimentary continental breakfast in the dining room off the main lobby. The coffee is always freshly made for each person--a small treat.

“Lovely Central Hotel in Old San Juan”

We were not sure of what experience we would have as this hotel is in the Old San Juan district but have to say that next time we are in San Juan this is where we will stay. The hotel is very clean with all the modern ammenities you would expect., We have had the opportunity to stay at this hotel on 2 separate occassions and each experience was great. The staff are very friendly and most helpful with answering any questions we had and guiding us through Old San Juan. The hotel is within walking distance to the pier where our cruise ship was docked as well as the local shops and for us the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The restaurant in the hotel was superb although there are many other restaurants within walking distance for your pleasure and local dining experience.

“Great location”

The location is great right in Old San Juan. In historic building so rooms are small. Would be a problem for light sleepers as you do hear the night life of Old San Juan as well. Coffee was delicious but the continental breakfast was very basic - muffins and toast with juice or coffee.
