Cute and cozy hotel!
This place was very cozy and beautiful! Staff was very friendly, we came in close to 10pm and they let us have dinner in the restaurant even though they were close to closing the kitchen. Food came out quick and was delicious. For the room it was clean and cozy. We were able to open the windows and have nice cool air with a beautiful mountain scenery. The one thing is the shower is quite tiny. Overall I would recommend this hotel!

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is 5 min away from the train station and the bus stop, approx 25 min away from Salzburg Hbf or center. The two inconveniences were the low wifi connection in the room and there was no grocery store/pharmacy near by for late cravings/needs. Very pleasant stay in general!

Property and views were beautiful. Beer garden and restaurant were lovely. Parking on site but limited. Bakery nearby but on-site breakfast buffet was good; European style plus eggs and bacon. Very close to Saltzburg.

The proprietor is present, and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome and special. A hidden gem and we’ll definitely recommend to friends; and hopefully return one day!

It's a country style B&B, not a regular hotel. If you want to feel some Austrian life, it would be a good choice, but it is not like a normal hotel!

Service and breakfast ... well done
Very good bed and breakfast. Excellent service and very good breakfast spread. No complaints. 20 mins from Salzburg by car or train or bus. Train station and bus stop 10 mins walk. Very good service.

Great hotel with a good kitchen. I needed some shirts ironed and they got one of the staff to do this for me free of charge. That was very friendly of them. I will use this hotel again.

Highly Recommend!
Highly recommend this hotel. When we booked, we did not reuse it was so far out of tow and had a little trouble finding it. But, SO glad we did. The hotel is charming. Christian, the front manager, was extremely friendly and helpful, as were all the hotel staff. We had dinner in the restaurant two nights and the food was delicious. The breakfast was hearty. Although we did not get to use it, there is a lovely spa as well. We had the delightful experience of watching the local Thanksgiving parade from our balcony.The balcony was lovely and came complete with a hummingbird.

Beautiful Guest House
The front desk clerk was amazingly helpful, suggesting not only things in do in the local area, but also in other countries. She aided us in getting transport passes to go to the summer Salzburg Festival. The location was ideal with picturesque scenery out every window. As it was August, and it was hot, those windows were open, which meant that we awoke to church bells at 6:00, and again to police sirens at 8:30. The room was quite comfortable, with a great breakfast in the morning, quick access to public transit, and free wifi!

Beautiful old charm hotel. Friendly staff. On site restaurant. Convenience train connection to Salzburg every 30 min. Beautiful village surrounding. Room was small for 4 adults, but then rest was all nice.

Breathtaking views.
Wonderful stay at Hotel Gasthof zum Kirchenwirt. Our room had a balcony, with a view of the Austrian Alps. Breakfast was wonderful. Not far from Salzburg. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is outside of Salzburg but an easy drive to the Lake District or into Salzburg. The breakfast was delicious and had a great selection to choose from. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet.

Worth the stay outside of main part of the city.
Everyone was very nice! The restaurant on the main floor is great. Our server (Den***) was fabulous and share all the great, must-see things in Salzburg. Absolutely MADE our trip to Salzburg!

The hotel was quaint, the service and restaurant were all great. The room we got for four people was VERY small and hot, but the desk attendant worked hard to try to improve with a fan. It is really not a room for four people. The hotel is on a very busy road so it is a bit loud, The back of the hotel is beside a farm and a neighborhood which was quite active as well. The views from the room are nice.

Great place to stay just outside of town
Nice to be outside of city center and very easy to use Bus160. Desk staff extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was amazing and evening dinners were delicious. We even watched some local folk dancing one evening which was lots of fun.

A true Bavaran Experience
Room was not large but we only sleep there. It did have a table which I like. It was clean and tht is the most important thing. Nice staff and we ate dinner one night in their dining room. It was very good. A great experience.

We were visiting for 2 nights in Salzburg area. It is also close to Berchtesgaden. This hotel offered a more unique experience than your typical hotel as it is a more traditional Gasthaus. The hotel is small and a little old. The decor in the room was all wood and a little tired. The room itself seemed clean enough until we moved furniture (while trying to locate a dropped item). There was a ski glove behind the sofa and bottles hidden behind the desk. I don't think furniture was moved to clean since winter. The bathroom was adequate but again a little dated. There was no air conditioning and we stayed there during a heat wave so the room was very hot when we went in. It did however cool off very nicely in the evening (the innkeeper told us it would) and we were able to cool the room then with the windows wide open. The downside of this was hearing traffic and being awoken to church bells at 6am but the churchbells just added to the charm. The breakfast was excellent. There was both a dining room and patio which was lovely. The coffee pot was brought to the table and left for us. There were both hot and cold items. We also ate in the outdoor restaurant one night and the food was very good and the views of the town and mountains fantastic.The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Overall I would recommend this charming hotel for its views and food and for those who want something different from the usual hotel stay.

Good overnight stay with friendly service. Only bummer was jacuzzi was broken and rowdiness of some guest that arrived next door around 2:30 am but I believe hotel staff paid them a visit because they quieted down quickly. If arriving by car there is limited free parking so arrive early!

This hotel was beautiful. There was nice balcony with a lovely view of the mountains. The doors/windows were top notch and didn't require any fiddling. The staff helped us with all of our questions. We did not do much in the immediate area, so can't comment on it's location. Would happily stay again.

Rooms were very clean, a balcony on each room. Service was outstanding, the staff could not be helpful enough, advice on attractions to see in very close by Salzburg City. Sauna was very good here, the staff turned everything on just for us. The only let down was the food quality, it was good, but could of been alot better.
