Set in the heart of New England, the Renaissance Providence Hotel is a stately building in Rhode Island's capital. Built in 1929, this historic neo-Classical hotel was originally a Masonic Temple; its restoration was one of the largest projects in the state's history. The building commemorates the heritage of the area while also involving the vibrant artistic community that surrounds it today.
The Temple Downtown Restaurant and Lounge serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner; room service is available 24 hours a day.
A business center is on site; services available at the hotel include computer and cell phone rental, event catering, and dry cleaning. Meeting space and audiovisual equipment are available for large and small groups. Fitness equipment is available.

“Fantastic hotel!!!”
After a very long day of travel we arrived 12 hours late to the hotel due to flight delays and were exhausted, but were happily surprised by the friendly staff and amazing hotel! The front desk staff were helpful and accomodating, while the room was beautiful! We were only there for one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fabulous place to stay in Providence! It is located right next to Providence Place Mall and was a short walk to shops and rental car locations. I can't wait for the chance to go back again in the future!

“Adaptive Reuse of Historical Architecture”
If you are interested in adaptive reuse of historically significant architecture, you will not do better than to stay at the Providence Renaissance. It's a rate conbinination: a great hotel, great arhitectural preservation and a great view. Any city would be proud to have such a superb hotel. Congratulations, Providence!

Spectacular stay. Hotel beautiful, staff courteous and kind. Wish I had another excuse to get back to Providence sooner so I could stay there again.

We stayed at the Renaissance during our daughter's Freshman Parents' weekend. Front desk personnel were prompt and courteous; valets and room service staff were very professional. The room was large and attractively decorated, and featured all the amenities and creature comforts one would expect in a high-end hotel: terry robes, luxurious toiletries, large flat-screen TV. Two minor disappointments that could be explained by the relative newness of the hotel: mini-bar was not stocked; and when I ordered a glass of wine from the room service menu that was listed by the glass, they called and said it wasn't available by the glass. When I told them it was indicated that way on the room service menu, they apologized and brought the wine I had ordered.

I was very impressed with how elegant this hotel is, and the service is top notch.

From the moment we checked in, nothing but good things to say. The hotel restaurant was great. Call ahead from your room to be put on the waiting list if you don't have a reservation. Room was spotless, bed incredibly comfortable and the tv was a great perk.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was a severe snowstorm the night of our stay. The staff was helpful, not only in securing a taxi to our event, but also to ensure our return to the hotel. I recommend this hotel to all.
