“Overnight in Prince George”

The Economy Inn in Prince George provides the basics, and nothing more, but it is very reasonably priced and clean. We walked from the train station and the neighborhood is rather bleak, but then we found the real town exists to the west and south and is quite pleasant. If you are just overnighting for the Via Rail, the walk to the grocery store and Tim Horton's is great, since you will be sitting on the train all day again. I didn't know that Expedia didn't prepay there so I was a little concerned that I was paying twice and I also used up too much of my Canadian spending money.
