“Uncontrolled room temps, small "pretend" desk”

Stayed in January, room heat controlled by opening and closing windows. Signs were touting a "green hotel". Thermostat did not appear to work. Halls were extremely warm as well (25 C). Desk surface barely enough room for my laptop and mouse. Uncomfortable wicker chairs. Otherwise, clean, "ok".

“"Dissapointed, nothing to do with a Lakeview resort"”

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband for holidays in a "Lakeview Resort" . The location of this hotel is right by the highway, with a huge parking lot on front of the hotel, behind the hotel it was construction so we got lots of noise. You barely get to see the lake. The room we had was ok but, you can smell humidity. Beds were fairly comfortable. To get to the lake you have to cross parking lot, highway, and an information and shopping center full of tourists. There is no immediate access to the lake. The hotel is ok but nothing of what we expected. Some of the pictures correspond to an area 1 or 2 km away. The pool is small and very cold. The sauna was ok but the walls are carved up with people's initials. Amenities listed "nearby" like kayaking, canoeing, biking etc. They don't even know where they are offered. We had to go and ask the information center crossing the street and the closest place is almost an hour away from the hotel. They shouldn't list amenities for this hotel that the don't even know where they are. This hotel is too expensive, has misleading information on the web, it is just a chain of country inns, nothing to do with a "Lakeview Resort" just the price.

“So disappointed!”

They did well to use a picture to sell this hotel. Because once you are inside it all goes down hill. Beautiful exterior, surrounding area, but that's it. The hotel is in bad need of a refresh. It's tired. Things are tired. I also felt the greeting I got ( if you can call it a greeting) was less than because I had booked a discounted room. The bedding was pilled, and scuzzy. The shower curtain made me shudder.... Needless to say we spent little for no time in our room. We paid more than expected and were so not impressed. Overrated, and over priced. Didn't let it spoil my trip to PEI, the Island was breathtaking and worth the trip.
