“Would recommend to anyone !!”
Great location, great staff, makes me want to go back tomorrow
“Great hotel, excellent location!”
This an extremely well-run, rather elegant hotel. It includes several buildings that are relatively close together. The free breakfast (served on TV trays, seating in comfortable chairs) and 5:00 to 6:00 pm complimentary social hour are in the main building, called the Pavillion. We were upgraded to accommodations in a building on King Street that was essentially a one bedroom apartment that even included a washer and dryer! The location is in walking distance of the main attractions. We highly recommend it!
“The best hotel in Charlottetown”
I wasn't sure what to expect from the Great George as the hotel was made up of a number of different properties. We were not disappointed. We stayed i n one of the apartments in a lovely old building around the corner from the main building. It had great charm, was spacious and meticulously clean. It even had a laundry with washing machine and dryer. Parking was on site. We went to the main hotel for breakfast, sitting in the beautiful salon in armchairs. A very different approach but relaxing. A wonderful stay in a very lovely town.
“Great Stay”
We booked a standard room with queen bed so were quite surprised to be given an efficiency suite. The suite is an entire apartment! This was our favorite overnight in the Maritimes. The only niggle: The air conditioner sat in the window loosely. Which meant no insulation from street noise when roving rowdy rogues remit from downtown pubs at closing time.

Nice spot right in the heart of Charlottetown. Standard level of quality at the Great George. Never any bad surprises here!
“nice hotel but unique in set up”
The hotel is actually in a number of attached buildings - staff were terrific and the room very comfy. less than five minutes to many of the downtown attractions - however not really geared to families but worked well for our one year old.
“good hotel, but...”
Hotel service and quality are basically good. However, when we stayed, there was some issue with boiler and we could not take a bath or shower. We had our small babies staying with us, and it forced us a lot of inconvenience.
