Room OK... everything else disappointing

Pros: It was very low priced mid week.
Location: I checked out the two "resorts" near-by and they were just as dead as Buffalo Bills. I guess Prim is dead mid-week.
We stayed there mid week so the price was GREAT! I said yes to recommending the room based on the price. And the room was just fine... well, mostly. Everything about the room was fine until the morning we discovered there was no coffee to go with the Kureg coffee maker. A great coffee maker and no coffee! I know if I had called housekeeping I would have gotten some coffee in an hour or so. Instead, I got dressed and went downstairs to pick up some coffee. Everything else was quite disappointing. The casino and other facilities was "dead". Almost all of the restaurants are closed mid week as were all of the other attractions... rides, show room, lounges... all except the casino. The only sit-down restaurant open was a Denny's that is inside the facility. There were also some fast food places including a McDonalds.

It seems that on-going maintenance is not an activity at this facility. Only one of the 4 elevators was working and it kept beeping at us before the door finally closed. Our keys did not work to our room, and it took 3 tries to finally get into our room. The hotel looks fun from the outside, but in our room there were maintenance problems like the faucet dripped,the shower stall is old, and the floor base was coming off the wall, there was water damage on the wall near the shower, and the window was so dirty you could not see out. The beds slept ok. The casino was very smokey and very dark.

Pros: Kids entertainment-log ride and arcade. Te roller coaster is "killer" on your back.
Cons: Plumbing,replace the carpet and wall paper (carpets were torn, wall paper was peeling off).
Location: Vegas is 30 minutes north, Calico is about an hour south in Yermo California.
Mediocre; the room door was not flush, leaving a gap wide enough to view into the room. There was no hot water in the evening or morning. I was compensated a buffet breakfast for that. I was not the only one to have the same complaint.

the clerk charged us wrong for our pet. she also kept my license and looked everywhere for it the I remembered where it was .

Long Wait to Check In

Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: The registration staff need to be more efficient and accommodating. The ceiling above the shower was peeling away from water dam. and needed repair.
We arrived around 9:30 PM to find an extremely long line for the registration desk. The line was moving extremely slow and the desk seemed to be understaffed and inefficient. With two tired kids we decided against waiting and spent the night in our RV in the parking lot. In the morning we wanted to take a shower in our room before we got back on the road again. The line for the desk was short around 6:30 AM, but when I asked to check into our room I was told that they gave my room away because I did not check in the previous night. After explaining the situation and assuring them I would be leaving before the normal checkout time, I was finally given a room, but not before the employee reminded me three times that I should have waited in line the previous evening. I was a little irritated at the long line and having to spend the night in the parking lot, but I was extremely irritated at the suggestion that I would not be given a room my room in the morning until my check out time. Poorly played on the part of registration.

Pros: It was south of Vegas on way back.
Cons: Check in was ok. A bus load arrived and there was about a 30 min. wait.
Location: It was close to our travels to Mojave State Park. Also, nice Starbucks and Denny's.
Needed a Hotel on road trip & this is good. Friendly & convenient. Stayed on 14th. floor in good size room for great price. Would stay here again in future travels.

Room was nice, a bit old... only issue was air conditioner clearly didn't work - it ommited odor when turned on, so we left it off.

I thought my room was suppose to be a double bed, but I reserved a king but the check in clerk offered to give us a double bed because we had our girls.... Well that room wasn't very clean and she was kind enough to give us another room with great view of the pool and very clean linens were stocked and tissue. but if you have kids only go fri-sun the theme park isn't open during the week... The hotel was good for a short stay
