Dear Richard,Thank you for the feedback.The door handle was fixed (again) the following day as I noticed it on my morning walk around of the property. I am looking at changing the door handle completely as guests continuously try to turn the handle once they have opened the door which in turn is actually damaging the door handle.I had made multiple phone calls to confirm your arrival time as we do close at 7pm. We would have arranged for an afterhours check in process to be completed. Please be aware that the receptionist does not get paid overtime, so they are on a strict finish time. If you do prefer a person check in, I would advise booking at 24 hour accommodation places like the Novotel which is across the road.I would suggest that when booking smaller accommodation places to check booking conditions, although we are located in Metro Melbourne, a 24 hour reception is not required as we are only 33 rooms and sell out often.If you choose to stay with us again in future, I hope you have a better experience.

Dear Claude,Thank you for the feedback.It is unfortunate that the room was not made up, it was missed by the Housekeepers and the receptionist on is heavily pregnant, if she wasn't she would have made it up in a heartbeat.The room type booked was a Standard room and a majority of them are upstairs facing Bell St. Thank you for acknowledging that we still did endeavour to ensure the remainder of your stay was comfortable.

Dear Faline,Thank you for taking the time to write a review and ensuring that you mentioned how awesome our front office team were.The 2 buildings aren't different, they are exactly the same, the only difference is, is that the spa rooms are in the second building only.The motel has a different design, I think guests think because reception is in the first building it must be the better one, it isn't so, it is just design and layout of how the building was made in the 80's.Again, thank you for the feedback, and we hope you had a safe journey home.
