Great Location, within 5 minutes walk of Astronomical Clock and Charles Bridge. Lady in charge was extremely helpful and friendly and an overall delight. Room (Triple Room) very comfortable and clean.

Little gem no fuss! Lovely place to stay when seeking prime location close to tourist attractions and entertainment in Prague. Very simple accomodation, but definitely all what you need for city break. Staff very helpful and accomodating.

Amazing Experience Overall Great and Helpful Staff
We had a great time staying at the Green Garland! It is right in middle of everything in the city center. Water and beer are super expensive and a straight up rip off. The management decided to provide water bottles and beers for their guests at normal reasonable prices. For this reason alone I would come back! The staff were super nice and helpful. Every little things we needed they helped as much as they could. The rooms were really big and clean. I am really happy we decided to stay here and would definitely recommend everything to stay here if you wanna stay in the city center of Prague.

Convenient to market and shops
Great location and a beautiful property. The downside is no tele, no lift, very cold room that seems difficult to heat and dealing with unlocking and locking three different doors every time you come and go. The only time I ever saw any staff was when I checked in. As a woman traveling alone its a bit creepy not seeing or hearing anyone in this massive old building as you enter at night. The room however was very spacious & clean, soaps & hair dryer provided and a lovely heated towel rack in the bathroom.

Dear Mrs. Cristina, Thank you for your feedback. However, I am really disappointed by your note about cold room. Heaters in each room are very efficient and room temperature is normally around 21-23 degrees Celsius which is fine. The tap on radiator has 5 levels and you could just turn it higher. Also, I explained you upon your arrival where we have our apartment for staff and how to contact us by doorbell in case you need anything. We do not provide 24 hours service in reception desk but we are available to help all guests every day in the morning and we are in the house overnight. You may not remember that I explained you all of this when you arrived. During your stay most of the rooms were occupied but people are instructed to keep quiet in the common room to allow all the guests comfortable stay. I am sorry that you felt uncomfortable as a single traveller as regards this. Wishing you all the best, Alice

Great location to the centre of old town yet tucked down a quiet back street. The manager was very accommodating and friendly. As noted in the pensions description the stairs are steep and narrow. Large bags would be difficult. The room is of good size but with no aircon in hot weather could be stuffy.

This property is affordable and in a great location. Easy to navigate around the city. The hotel staff was friendly and kind. She helped us get a taxi and fix my suitcase. She was incredibly kind. This was a no frills stay. You have access to a lounge area with a small fridge and hot water for tea/coffee. Definitely would stay again!

Great location. Very kind and friendly service. The only issue was that we booked one room with 4 beds and there were only 3 of us so they switched our room to a smaller one without telling us until we arrived. I forgot to let them know a 4th person would be joining us at the end of our trip and we would need the 4th bed. They brought another bed into the room which was great but I wish they would have asked me about switching the rooms instead of just switching us. It all turned out well. Had a great time!

I feel like explaining more about the problem... we had desperate demand for the large rooms from refugees from Ukraine in March when the war started and they all escaped to Eastern Europe. At that time when I switched the rooms I expected the war would be over by May and that the families would return home but it did not happen... I realize this is not very profesional attitude to our guests but I felt like explaining to you guys my problem and that I did not have another choice when I wanted to help to the mothers with kids. Perfect location and spotless! Amazing stay.
I can’t say enough positive things about this hotel. It was in the most perfect location (right in the Old Town), spotlessly clean, and a very very lovely manager/owner. We enjoyed our stay so much and will be staying again the next time we are in Prague.

Room is spacious & clean. Hotel location is near tourist spots but has no lift. Staff was helpful to carry our luggages to our room on upper floor and also assisted to book a cab to the train station on our last day of stay. Breakfast was moderate.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Green Garland Pension. The location was perfect, the room was spacious and breakfast was filling! The staff was friendly and willing to help with anything needed during my stay in Prague! They even sold transportation tickets! I don’t think there is a better value for the money in Prague!

Great location for a Prague trip
Perfect for what I wanted! Three travellers, so getting a hard to find three bedded room was ideal. Spotlessly clean, lovely, warm and cosy. The location is also perfect, just a few minutes walk from all of the main sights of Prague, the astronomical clock, the Charles Bridge, all the fabulous shops and eateries, fantastic! The building itself is clearly historical and authentic and this just adds to the overall ambiance. Breakfast was simple but good. We loved it!

The place maybe in the old town but it is not easy to find especially at night. Not much to do around the area and in the hotel. No TV in the room. Not much amenities. The breakfast was not bad though, just cold cuts, bread and hard boiled eggs plus coffee and some veggies. The shower and toilet are separate but functional. The heater isn’t enough to warm the room which was quite large. Good thing we were on the first floor and you need to climb stairs to get to but there are floors above us. Won’t come back there. The manager Pavel was nice though and helpful so was the other lady. Overall you get what you paid for.

Bed wasn't my favorite, but everything else good!
In the heart of the madness of Old Town, but tucked on a quiet side street, the location here can't be beat! The staff are also friendly, a standard continental breakfast is included (cold cuts, cheese & hard-boiled eggs, plus the usual cereals, bread & yogurt), the room I had was spacious and the shower was warm quickly with good water pressure. The only not-great thing is the mattress was rather thin as were the pillows (1* off). I have a memory foam travel pillow that I put on top to get the right height for my neck and I woke up a few times to change positions; however, despite that, my FitBit says I slept well & I didn't wake up with sore spots from pressure points, so it was ok.
Shower room - more spacious that the photo shows
Toilet area also spacious
Suite room - very large for Europe
Only downside - you can see the full mattress thickness at the head of the bed (I pulled it up). This is on top of slats only, no box spring

My friend and I stayed at the hotel and we couldn't believe how spacious our room was! The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful (thank you, Alice). The location is fantastic (just a five minute walk to Old Town Square) and the Czech restaurants nearby are very good. I would definitely recommend The Green Garland Pension to travellers looking for a nice place to stay at a reasonable price in the heart of Prague.

Cozy in Prague
This is a pension, not a hotel so some expectations need adjusting at the get go. I’m used to guest houses, hostels and fine hotels and choose to travel in the guesthouse/pension mode. It’s warmer and cozier. The people are more interesting! The Green Garland is an old medieval structure which has been significantly altered over the many years. It’s interesting! It is very clean (most important to me) and tightly run. The owner is kind and accommodating. And we were most appreciative of the transfer to a different room when our original room did not meet our needs. The streets of Prague are always jam packed and this pension is on a more quiet off street which we appreciated. I highly recommend the Green Garland if my review resonates with your type travel!

Central location!
Great location, 10 mins walk to the Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge. The room is clean but the beds are a bit small and the pillows not so comfy. Little detail I noticed was that the shampoo and the hand soap were the same which I thought was funny but I had my own so didn't really matter. Breakfast was good too. My only complaint would be that the events on the map they gave us were outdated. We missed a few events because the time tables changed or the event content changed.

Host was really friendly, helped us with luggage getting up stairs. Property is very old, no stairs but well maintained and clean. Breakfast area is very comfortable and although basic it is good and tasty. There is cereal, bread and basic fruits enough for start of the day. We had staff help order taxi as we had flight 6:00am and the driver was very on time and professional. Cost 650 CZK fixed price. Location is super convenient to old town about 5 min walks. It is also very close to other attraction like Charles bridge and Lennon wall which is around 10-15 min walk. Prague castle is about 20-25 min walk but along the way very scenic so doesn’t feel long at all. Only problem is quite far from Praha train station and roads are hard to manuever with luggage but that’s overall Prague so not really much can be done.
