By far the best hotel in Prague in terms for value for money and location. Excellent and friendly staff. Great quality of rooms and decor. Would wish to see their breakfast included option applicable for the members as well. They are missing out on people choosing this wonderful option.

Michael at reception was incredibly kind and thoughtful, he instantly made us feel welcomed and provided some recommendations to do in Prague. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very modern and clean. The bed comfortable and the mini bar stocked with snack and drinks. Excellent hotel

This hotel is beautiful, high end amenities, great location, and friendly staff. The only reason I could not give 5 star is that it can be very very noisy late at night because they do many private events and the people yell and scream in the court yard, it does stop at about midnight. Also, I had a housekeeping woman come in my room at 5pm when I was getting ready to go to dinner, she startled me very badly, and she said she had to put towels down by the bed, which the other staff said is not normal, it was very odd, and as a solo female traveler made me feel unsafe, I put the table by the door at night because of this. It is a perfect location and really luxurious, I would stay again despite the noise and weird experience with housekeeping.

While there was an initial issue with the room not having a bathtub as advertised and booked, in addition to a very uncomfortable two single beds joined together instead of a king bed, a staff member (David) was able to assist me by showing me two other rooms I could choose to change to. David’s assistance prevented me from relocating hotels and in the end I had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are immaculate and in a wonderful location within walking distance of all the major sites. I highly recommend this hotel (but suggest paying a little bit more for a premium room).

Beautiful hotel that is well managed. The rooms looked recently renovated and breakfast was delicious. Location was in the heart of the city, surrounded by public transport options. It was this or the Marriott (as I a member). Glad I chose this!

Do not hesitate to book this hotel. Classy, elegant hotel with a quality feel. Just newly renovated with modern rooms and amenities. Stylish rooms and comfy beds and linens.Great gym and sauna too. This property is spectacular! Our concierge, Jana, went above and beyond from the moment we walked through the door until our departure. The property, the staff, and the location were perfectly situated for getting around the city for sightseeing, dining out and shopping. The staff was amazing and so very helpful. The food and food options at the hotel were superb! They exceeded our expectations and made us feel like VIPs everyday from delivering special treats upon arrival and decorating our room for a special occasion, to delivering breakfast to our suite to ensure we were well cared for throughout the entire stay. Jana is a gem and true asset to the Almanac hotel. This was a phenomenal experience and stay!

Very disappointing! First allocated room air con didn’t work and room was tiny for five star hotel! Allocated another room where air con also didn’t work but given free bottle of Prosecco. Breakfasts very poor and stuck with salads for whole stay. Requested sausages and fried tomatoes with breakfast but dudnt have them! Very disappoi ring for 5 star hotel!

This is the kind of hotel that does something else. That makes you feel like home. They gave a gift to my little kid. They left wine and dessert as welcome. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. I would definitevly recommend it and would go back again for sure.

Not a 5 star hotel at all. It’s modern and clean but definitely not 5 star. - fitness centre closed - items charged to my room that I had to dispute - rooms dated and old feeling (331) - lacking premium feeling - no support with pillows - charged for basic nespresso coffee pods in room Nothing wrong with the hotel but it’s not 5 star.

The bellman was superb. The cleaning lady was very strange. I called in to report a non-functioning coffee machine. Twenty minutes later she just walks in the room, no knocking no hello. I was washing my hands and my little son was playing on sofa, I hear a noise of door, rush out of bathroom to find her standing in our room, just standing and staring. When I great her in English, she mumbles in Russian, I speak Czech, French, Italian she just speaks back Russian. When I tell her I don’t understand she tells me to go unplug the coffee machine. She was bizarre, rude and unprofessional. The room was outdated, telephone dialling to reception, concierge, room service didn’t work.

The hotel is in a great location and offered great value. It is undergoing renovation so not all of its facilities are currently available but that wasn’t an issue for us. The only problem was the pillows which were flat and uncomfortable.

Great Stay!
I really liked this hotel. There's some debate about whether it's a 4*, 4.5* or 5* hotel. Who cares? I thought it was great. And at these prices it's hard to compare it to a 5* hotel in the US which would be three times the price. Overall, I was really impressed. Two minor complaints: 1) Arrived back at 5.30pm to find my room hadn't been serviced. The housekeeping lady came in at 6pm to do the room - pretty late. I asked her to come back at 7pm and she said that was too late for her. So... no room cleaning for me I guess. 2) The shower design is pretty bad. They left such a tiny gap between the glass screen and the wall, which then has a towel rack above it. The tub is pretty deep too so it's quite a maneuver to get out. For someone who is not physically able, this might be impossible. Overall though, very comfortable stay and a wonderful location just seconds away from Wenceslas Square and easily walkable to the best parts of the New Town.

This art deco property still retains the glamour of a former era but with none of the stuffiness of some luxury hotels. The rotonde restaurant is maybe a little pricey compared to others in the city but it is good value as the meal we had there was absolutely superb. Repair work is taking place currently and there is a crane and scaffolding at the front of the hotel, but at no point were we disturbed by construction noise.
