“Very satisfied”
I stayed midweek as attending a conference at a much more expensive hotel and wanted somewhere more economical, but still pleasant to stay at. The (single) room was nice and clean. I found that the hotel was well located within the city, but I still had a quiet nights' sleep. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was included and was the usual standard hotel buffet fare, but perfectly OK. Couldn't really fault it.
“Great Hotel”
For the price this hotel was great with a good breakfast. would stay there again. Couldnt believe the price which was less than half another hotel we had stayed in was charging and it was every bit as good if not better.
“Nice”
Very Nice hotel. Short walk to the main shopping center.
“Loved Prague and the Hotel Crystal Palace”
We booked the Hotel Crystal Palace based on good reviews and let me tell you it paid off. Wonderful staff that spoke perfect English and was helpful with every request and need. The hotel was in a good part of town and allowed us to easily walk the entire downtown and tour areas of Prague with ease. The hotel rooms were very modern and everything was clean and brand new. We really enjoyed our stay there and would happily pick this hotel again when we return to Prague!
“Nice, clean, convenient, with parking in the center of Prague - great deal!”
We got this hotel as part of a package from Expedia - booking the flight and the hotel together, we saved a bundle over just booking the flights alone directly with the airline - so basically, we got paid to stay in this hotel. :) Anyway, the hotel was very clean, modern, and comfortable, and particularly great for people with a car - parking was easy in the courtyard at a bargain for Prague and main roads were easily accessible from the hotel. Staff was reasonably helpful - in a typically Czech way, would not go out of the way to help, but was polite and efficient when responding to requests such as brining an ironing board to the room, directions, etc. I would stay in this hotel again if I needed to have a car with me. If you don't have a car, you may want to stay somewhere in the Old Town, which is the closest to all the main attractions (not that this is far, it's about 20 minute walk to Old Town Square), but for someone who has a car, this is absolutely great. Even though you have to pay extra for the courtyard parking, it is well worth it for the few bucks it costs.
“Crystal Palace scores!”
Hotel is in a car " dead end" street so extremely quiet but only 10 minutes steady walk from both the river and Wenceslas Square, really handy! TIP: Although the street is a car dead end there is a gated pedestrian walkway direct onto Karlovo Square and Karlovo Metro (5 minutes). The Hotel is or appears to be new and everything was immaculately clean. All the staff we came into contact with spoke and understood English (with possibly the exception of the breakfast waiting staff who didn't speak, hence only 4 for quality of service) The breakfast buffet was plentiful (at 8am) with lots of variety. The bar is small and largely unused (could do with some background music to liven it up) TIP: The sauna is excellent but needs to be booked in advance, plentiful supply of towels and robes provided, but note IS CHARGEABLE, currently 300kc per hour.
“Extremely Happy!”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. It was clean, in a good location, quiet, there was a nice variety of food on the breakfast buffet, and the employees were all very helpful and could speak English. We could walk everywhere from here. You won't be sorry if you stay here.
“I would not hesitate to stay here again...”
The hotel is tucked away from the main streets making for a quiet relaxing stay. Located in old town, I found everything I was looking for within minutes of the hotel and was able to run back to the room for a midday relax between walkabouts and shopping. Management and staff were friendly and helpful, and eager to make my stay pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and more than I expected with both hot and continental options. I didn't get a chance to use the Swedish sauna but did check it out and it looked very inviting... next time for sure.
“Great”
Friendly and helpful hotel staff speak good English. Very clean facility with small bar and nice sauna. Great breakfast buffet. Rooms with two twin beds are available. Like most European hotels, no wash cloths (so bring your own if you use one). Only other inconvenience is that facial tissues (Puffs, Kleenex, etc.) were not provided. Great proximity to good Czech and international cuisine restaurants. Relatively short walk to a park, the river, Wenceslas Square and Old Town Square.
“An amazing 4 star hotel at a 2 star price!”
We were absolutely thrilled with our bargain, the comfortable stay at the Hotel Crystal Palace and the beautiful city of Praha. We stayed 9 nights and were extremely pleased with the delicious and varied breakfast buffets each morning. The staff were kind and spoke English well. After reading one review...I rushed out to the dollar store and bought a shower curtain and rings because someone said the water sprayed everywhere because there was no curtain. Our room had no problems whatsoever...there are doors that close on the shower and as long as you remove the hand-held shower head before turning it on full blast, you will be completely fine. The windows open to let in fresh air...but the air conditioning and heating worked fine (we totally had to use them both due to the strange weather). The walls are thicker than most hotels. The hotel is conveniently located to everything. Public transportation was easily accessible and so many things were in walking distance. There are soooo many wonderful restaurants nearby or within close proximity. The river is a short walk as well as St. Wenceslas Square. We love this hotel and would definitely would return again!
