65th Birthday trip to Prague

Posted 15-Oct-2014
Pros: It was very clean and freshly decorated. Lovely fresh smell in Reception. Staff courteous, helpful and friendly without being in your face.
Cons: Wi Fi was available and I did use it but it did fail on a few occasions which was more of a nuisance than a real problem to us.
Location: Excellent location. Close to all the major attractions and tours - walking and boat tours.
I took my husband away for three nights to Prague and we stayed at the Friday Hotel. It was the right choice. Very central - close to all the best things to see. The hotel itself was beautifully presented and the staff very warm and welcoming. The Breakfast Buffet which was included in the price was excellent - cooked breakfast of egg and bacon with sautéed potatoes, cereals, toast and jam, yoghurts, fresh fruit of several kinds, cheeses, etc. etc., and of course tea and coffee and juices. Complimentary tea and coffee was available throughout the day too in the breakfast room. All in all a very enjoyable stay. We would definitely book this hotel again. I booked the transfer to the airport and back which I would recommend you do as it is very reasonably priced and probably a lot less than you would pay if you just picked up a taxi at the airport - and as the traffic can be quite busy it could add up to quite a fare.

Fantastic location in the heart of Prague!

Posted 5-Oct-2014
The hotel was great! Wonderful buffer breakfast to start the day. Great hotel staff. Small hotel in the heart of Prague within walking distance to all the main sites. Only two small issues- when we asked for extra towels we were given old towels with holes!! Also, the shower door did not close easily but when it was finally shut no water leaked out, thank goodness. Would definitely stay there again- no question!!

Right in the heart of old town this hotel is a gem. Easy to get to a lot of sights in a pedestrian friendly part of town. Good breakfast. Friendly and professional staff.

Friday Hotel. Nice place. Great breakfast

Posted 15-Sep-2014
Pros: The staff was wonderful. They are very nice, answered all of our questions, and when we had a shower door which came loose, came right up and fixed it
Okay we chose this hotel because it was right in the heart of the old section of Prague. You can walk to most of the things you want to see like the old clock and its also a short bus trip from Prague Castle. The staff was wonderful. They are very nice, answered all of our questions, and when we had a shower door which came loose, came right up and fixed it. They have an awesome breakfast which is an all you can eat buffet from 8-11 each morning. You were so full after eating you could skip lunch. The only problem we had was with the location and not the hotel. Our bedroom got warm at night as the air conditioner does not cool as much as we like. So you can open the window but the street noise is really loud and made it hard to sleep. That section of Prague has all the drunks walking by and screaming loudly. The crowds are not dangerous or anything like that, just loud. So I would try to book a room which does not face the street and as high up as you can. Also the internet does not work in all the rooms. They have some pretty good areas to sit outside of you room and thats what many of the guests did.

Great week in Prague

Posted 2-Sep-2014
Pros: Very lovely, clean & comfortable. Great location and nice staff, espc Paulina who is always smiling, cheerful and very helpful too! she's exceptional
Cons: Thicker pillows and extra ones wd help. Towels r thin and hotel shd have face towels. It's tough to clean our face w/ a giant hand/bath ones!
Location: Centre location, close to everything & subway.
Family of 3, exploring Prague for the first time. Great hotel, staff fluent in English, kind and cheerful (unlike some locals in other services such as restaurants, subway, stores..all too severe and abrupt). Location is very convenient, breakfast the greatest help to long walks all day. It's quiet despite being near main areas. We actually enjoyed the serenading violin music below when a street performer set up shop & played for an hour or more just below our window! Bonus! :) . Our room was on the 2nd floor, very spacious w/ high ceiling and modern decor, wifi was strong, so was water pressure. 3rd person slept on extra roll away bed; We appreciate everything espc the breakfast! plentiful, delicious and nicely presented (mixed of hot and cold buffet style food). Definitely will return & recommend! family/couples.

Great hotel well located

Posted 12-Aug-2014
Pros: Good breakfast, knowledgeable staff, lovely large well decorated room, fair price, excellent location, easy to walk around, comfortable bed.
Cons: More comfortable extra bed for 3rd person. Shower in bath attached to wall, shower curtain so less water comes out of tub, hooks to hang bathrobe
Location: very central, easy to get around.
Good breakfast, knowledgeable staff, lovely large room, excellent location, easy to walk around, comfortable bed. Prague beautiful - castle, buildings, architecture, summer vibe, great game called Trap. Would come back

Good location and great breakfast

Posted 7-Aug-2014
Pros: The room and bathroom was so spacious - and I loved the decoration of the room. It seems like it's in the middle of the city but isn't noisy at all.
Cons: The pillows could be improved, and the wifi needs some work it was unusable.
We had a wonderful stay here at the Friday Hotel. The staff were helpful and nice, the room was huge and the shower was great. Our sink started leaking and they promptly fixed it with no issues or hassles. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was fantastic, good selection, fresh and not too much. I would certainly go back and it was really easy to get to. The only issues would have been the wifi is super slow and barely worked at all in the room, which is a shame in this day and age!
