Great location and enjoyable stay
Superb location with a mini mart and numerous restaurants next to it. Right next to Charles bridge. Clean, large room, and housekeeping was thorough everyday. Will definitely stay here again our next time in Prague.

The attic room is perfect for my husband and me. Very quiet, clean and unique from the regular hotel room. Hotel staff helped us to bring our luggages to the room which is very helpful. Stairs are high and steep but we are fit enough to climb them. Will stay here again in the future.

Wonderful hotel in fantastic location.
We stayed recently and had an amazing time. The hotel is spotless, in a fantastic location, the air conditioning was very appreciated because we had very hot weather. The reception staff were very helpful. The room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable. All in all a brilliant hotel and I can't wait to return.

Excellent location less than one block west of the Charles Bridge. Extraordinary front-desk personnel, eager and able to help with any request. Our room (#2) was a very large and well-furnished suite. Well-built, well-maintained building - no problems with street noise.

Very old building, with lot's of character and very nice large rooms. Understandable why they cannot install an elevator. The shower could have been better, was small and cheap. Everything else was good quality.

Weekend in Prague
The Domus Balthasar was wonderful. The rooms were big, clean, and quiet. The rooms also had many windows so there was plenty of natural light. We couldn't ask for a better location (1 block from the Charles Bridge). There is not an elevator, but the staff helped with taking the luggage up the stairs. We had a great time at the hotel. The two pictures are the front of the hotel and the view from our room (I opened the window took the picture). Our room is the top set of windows in the picture

Blown away by our attic room in a beautiful building literally footsteps away from the Charles Bridge. The welcome we got when we checked in was brilliant. Beautiful room looking out over the rooftops of Malá Strana. Perfect room, location and the price was incredible.

The hotel is located in an amazing area. You are just steps away from Charles Bridge . If you need an uber you can walk a very short distance . My hotel Room wa huge . It had a big living area , separate bathroom ( huge tub ) and heated floors and a huge bedroom . It was very quite . Friends of our stay a few steps away and paid double and there rooms were nothing like ours . I highly Recommending this hotel .

This hotel exceeded all my expectations. Our room was a corner room, beautifully lit by walls of windows, with plenty of space for us to escape the crowds and relax. Our room was always clean and refreshed after a full day out in Prague, and the big windows allowed for lots of fresh air and beautiful views of the Charles Bridge. The front desk concierge was exceptionally helpful. They offered some great recommendations when we arrived, and were able to book a taxi for us when we left. (The taxi driver was also excellent). This hotel is literally steps from the Charles Bridge and everything else you need for your trip to Prague. We loved our stay!

About as close as you can stay to the Charles Bridge. We were in the attic room, which was super cool with beams and slanted roof. If you're much over 6 ft, the attic room is probably too short for you. We found it cozy and extremely charming. Clean room, great staff. Highly recommended for a tourist stay.

LOVED our stay here. Room was HUGE with all the comforts. Bathroom was ginormous. Location was perfect. Steps away from the Charles bridge and yet felt like a quaint secret retreat. And this doesn’t seem like a big deal but it smelled amazing. It was just before Christmas & really added to the experience. Only down side is no elevator but we travel light & reception helped with our bag.

Charming hotel in busy area.
Domus Balthasar Design Hotel is a great little hotel. It is located in a very busy area but it was nice to be within walking distance of the trams and Charles Bridge. I did stay on the top floor and thank goodness I'm short (5'1"). The beams in the room are low so make sure you learn to duck or book a room on a different floor. Also, the steps are steep and narrow. After hours of walking I had to hype myself up to climb up to my room. Thankfully the room was clean and inviting. The reception staff was kind, friendly, and very helpful. They helped me book a concert, gave me general information, and booked my car to and from the airport. I would stay here again.

Hotel from a converted 15th Century house. Spacious rooms, smallish bathroom, and amazing service. I would definitely come back!

Almost a great hotel. Very high marks for the helpful and friendly staff! The room was huge and had really high ceilings (about 13 feet high) and tons of windows, with a great bathroom! There were only two problems, the area is very noisy at night and in the morning, and the musty old curtains really smelled bad (like urine). maybe they let pets stay here and they soiled the drapes? Made spending time with the windows shut difficult, and the streets were super bright and loud, so you had to choose between noise and bright light or breathing strong urine smells. Too bad, because it would have been a great hotel except for this.

Location, location, location!!!
Nice charming hotel 2 minutes walk from Charles bridge and 10 for the old town or castle! Real picture on the web, romantic and cute rooms! But no elevator ;-) We where on the 4 floors so, a lot of stairs especially with the luggage!

great hotel
great hotel, excellent location next to charles bridge, but no noise at night. plenty of nice restaurants and bars close by. very friendly and helpful reception staff. room very clean. transfer from airport to hotel pre arranged with the hotel which all went very smoothly. no hassle or stress. only slight negative is that no air con so room quite warm but did have a large free standing fan. no lift so not recommended if you can't climb stairs. for my partner and i it was perfect.

Great location, just steps from the Charles bridge. We stayed on the very top floor which was a bit of a hike especially with big suitcases. The room was very unique and romantic, but the air conditioner was a bit loud. Staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Decent place but know what neighborhood you're in!
Great staff. Ladies working the front were exceptional! Like exercise? then take one of the 4th floor rooms. Oh my goodness, what a climb! It certainly is a great warm up for going up the steps to the Castle...haha, that's a wake up call. Be sure to go on up to the monastery for the beer. Excellent. The restaurant was fine. The location is REALLY close to the St Charles bridge so be prepared for swarms of tourists and noise. Not so much in the room but anytime you leave the hotel. Very touristy area. I prefer to go visit this type area rather than live in it so beware. I wouldn't stay here again because of the area but the hotel and staff were great. I'd even go say hello if in the area again.

Beautiful Room
Amazing room. Ask for #5. Wood ceiling, lots of windows, spacious. My only complaint is the the bathroom could be a touch cleaner. Obviously it had been cleaned but there were some spots of mildew in bathroom. Not bad but considering how fantastic the staff is, oh fantastic the location is and how fantastic the room is, it seems like that should be just as fantastic. I will definitely stay there again. Everyone there was wonderful.

Great location, beautiful room
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel had an excellent location by the Charles bridge and the room was very spacious and modern. The breakfast buffet was generous, including delicious pancakes, bagels, and eggs. The staff was very friendly and willing to help arrange taxis and dinner reservations. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing!
The best part of this hotel was the room. We stayed on the top floor and it felt more like an apartment then a room. Plus the bathroom was huge. The location is also amazing just steps from the Charles Bridge. The only issue is there is no elevator so it wouldn't be ideal for someone with heavy bags. Otherwise I highly recommend.

Even though I was there during the May-June floods, they could not dampen the warmth of the reception at the Domus Balthasar. Wonderful location, great room, and all the staff so welcoming and helpful.

Excellant service, perfect location
This hotel is a hidden treasure. From the outside you wouldnt know how luxurious and comfortable this hotel is. Rooms are huge and have everything you need. Staff are helpful and friendly with good English. Location is perfect, Petrin Hill and Prague Castle only a 5 minute walk and Charles's Bridge right on the doorstep. Highly recommend for family getaway, business stay or group of friends.

Fantastic room. Amazing value.
On first impressions we weren't sure. A large door on the street leads to a narrow corridor and a small reception area but the room was absolutely gorgeous and the people were great. Beautiful big room, really stylish and comfortable with a view of the Charles Bridge. Lovely bathroom. We really really enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer. Will def go back. Things that didn't bother us but might bother others. There isn't a lift and the stairs are steep. Charles Bridge area can be noisy at night. No aircon although there is a fan..

この立地で、素敵なお部屋でバスタブも冷蔵庫もポットもあり、満点と言わざる得ないのですが(わたしはプラハの他のホテル二件ほど行きましたが、設備はここが最高でした)二つほど注意してください、わたしは四階の屋根裏部屋だったのですが、エレベーターが無く、チェックインはスタッフの方が手伝ってくれましたが、チェックアウトは長い螺旋階段をスーツケースを降ろすのは結構大変でした。足が悪い方、高齢の方はつらいと思います。 もう一点は朝食がついていないことです。繁華街なので問題ないかもしれませんが、土日は朝は休みのお店が多いので準備した方がいいです。 その二点だけ承知していれば、とても良いホテルです。

Dear Kaori, thank you for your feedback we really appreaciate it. The hotel is situated in a preserved historical house within UNESCO town preserve; due to this fact the house unfortunately does not have a lift. Anyay we are also ready to help you with the luggage at check-in or check-out. We just need to be informed :-) Actually, Breakfast is served at Liberica cafe which is connected to our hotel on the ground floor. Full English or Scrambled eggs, French omelette, Eggs Benedict, Continental or Fit Breakfast for the price of €12/person. Breakfast is served from 7:30-9:30. Pity you did not mention you are interested in breakfast or didnt mention help with the luggage on your last day. Hope to see you again! Best regards, Jan Domus Balthasar team

good mood in prague
スタッフの方がフレンドリーで親切でした。 お部屋も広くてスーツケースを広げてもまだまだ余裕があるのはありがたいです。 ベッドも広くて良かったです。 部屋の窓からカレル橋の入り口も見えて、 徒歩圏内にプラハの主要地がすべてあります。 カンパ公園に朝焼けを見に行ったときは素敵すぎました。 チェスキー・クルムロフへ日帰りで行った際もバス乗り場まですぐ近くからトラムが出ていたのでとても便利でした。

Dear Jean Paul, thank you for your rating of our hotel. Our building is located in historical center of Prague, preserved by UNESCO, so we cannot make any construction changes in it-such as installing an elevator (or AC units in all rooms). The location is also the reason of high number of tourists walking outside the building. But the bright side of the location is obvious - every gem of old Prague is in the walking distance. =) Hope that you´ve enjoyed your stay anyway and wish you all the best.
