“We will return very soon”
We were particularly attracted by the hotel's location - it is away from the centre of the town but within easy reach by public transport. The hotel offers very high standard of service, the reception staff speak very good English, are polite and welcoming. The room itself was comfortable, with good facilities. It was the first time that we stayed in Europe in a hotel that had "English" plugs so no need to take adaptor in the future. It was maybe the most comfortable bed we ever slept in!. The only negative comment we would make is that the room was a little bit too hot in the night and we could not turn down the air conditioning. Breakfast offered a huge choice of food - typical fried breakfast including potatoes, pasta dishes, japanese dishes, selection of very tasty breads, cheeses, yougurts, cereals, fruit, cakes etc. Tea spoons were not always supplied with the cups, but when requested staff immediately brought them. Checking in and checking out was efficient and quick. Overall an excellent weekend and we hope to return in the near future.
“Good location, great value”
I chose this hotel for accessibility and price, without wanting to compromise on quality. 10 minutes on bus 119 from outside the airport and you're there - you can buy a ticket from the driver if you don't have change. It's right on a major metro route and there's a tram as well that takes a great route into the city. Service is efficient and friendly.
“Stellar service, great location”
I was most impressed by the hotel's service. Anything I needed, they either had or helped me find. The location was also great. Prague has a good subway system and the hotel is next to one of the stops so the entire city was easily accessible. Overall, a great experience.
“Diplomat Prague”
Close to everything and easy to get around town.
“Great Value”
Everything was as advertised. Check out the trip adviosr reviews as well for even more detailed info. Best feature is the full FREE breakfast (not just continental), clean room, very helpful staff, and just steps from the Green Line which is a 5 minute subway ride into the center of Prague.
“Can't wait to go there again”
This hotel gives great value for money. The hotel is so near to the metro that you can go from your room into the centre of town within 10 minutes and the trams stop right outside so a scenic tour into town can be taken. From the hotel it's only a 20 mins walk to the castle and if the weathers decent a trip to the top of the T.V tower at Zizkov is a must for the views of the city and beyond.
“Two small issues, otherwise 4 stars”
The Diplomat is a four-star hotel in most ways. Rooms were very big, well cleaned, and well maintained. The common areas were nice and the restaurants and lounges were great (the books were a great added touch and nice on a rainy day). Breakfast was one of the best "inclusive" ones that I have had. I just have 2 small issues with my stay. First, the beds were not commensurate with a 4-star property, they were much too hard, with a comfort level like those in hostels I have stayed in. Second, the fitness center was much too expensive for the type and amount of equipment available. I don't mind paying for access to a fitness center, but for the level of charges I expect much more.
“Very convenient hotel for business and leisure 10min from airport and 10 min to the castle by taxi.”
Superb spa with view of Prague Castle and Petrin. Good quality restaurant and food a bit on a pricey side but worth it.
“Suitable hotel for beginners of Prague”
It is very easy to go to both city center and airport. Very nice place to stay for the first visit to Prague. The only thing I would like to comment is that I could not found any stores to buy food or drinks at night around the hotel.
“A great pick for your first trip to Prague”
The hotel was a great pick. Bus 119 from the airport takes you straight to the hotel. Metro stop is 1 minute walk from hotel and its 3 short stops into Old Town. Walk to Prague Castle. Great bar and internet amenities. Exceptional front desk staff - exchange currency, purchase local transit tickets at the hotel. Air conditioned.
