The exclusive 4* Superior Barceló Old Town Praha Hotel settled down in a unique antique building from 17th century, stands right in the heart of the historical centre and next to the famous Powder Tower which is the door to the Old Town City of Prague, where the Kings used to start the coronation ritual through the Royal Road towards the Prague Castle. “Great location for exploring Prague on foot”
The hotel room itself was very spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable. We went in the winter and the room was thoroughly heated (perhaps a little too much!) Central location made it fantastic for exploring Prague by foot. We went to breakfast on the Saturday morning and there was a nice selection of food. The only "problem" we found was that the hotel is aimed mostly at business travellers, so on a Thursday night when we went back to the hotel at 1am, t the sliding doors to enter the hotel was locked and the doorbell did not work. We ended up having to bang on the door but someone came to us quite quickly after that. There is a security guard in the evening to ensure that only guests are allowed in, which was comforting. Overall, the hotel was fantastic--location, food, condition of the hotel and the room, and I would definitely stay there again.

“Clean, modern hotel - great location!”
Barcelo Old Town Praha was a great hotel. Exactly what we were looking for, and in a great location in Old Town. You were able to walk to all the major sites, and lots of delicious restaurants. The rooms were clean, simple and modern, but the beds were a bit hard. Overall, for the price and location, the hotel was worth staying at.

This hotel was excellent value and we were given an upgrade to a huge suite with lounge and a balcony that overlooked the cobbled streets. Brilliant location. The best breakfast I've had at a hotel; hot and cold food, cereal,juices, fruit, yogurt and even a bottle of fizz to make Bucks Fizz! What a great start. Taxi from hotel to airport was good and would definitely recommend. DO NOT GET USHERED into a black 'taxi' as you leave arrivals. Go for a Yellow airport cab. Average price for taxi to Old Town approx 700. We got charged 1400 after a scam by the 'black taxi' guy who took us to the sister hotel (I even showed him the print out of our hotel and address) and he made out it was the hotel we wanted. He initially wanted to charge 900 which we agreed to but because he had to take us to the hotel in Old Town he wanted 1400!! Don't get caught by these guys they don't deserve our trade. Prague was beautiful, architechturally the best city I have been to with a surprise around every corner.
“Great Hotel Staff”
The staff at this hotel spoke perfect English and went above and beyond the call of duty, booking massages, helping me print documents, and even checking us in very early and then helping us check out late! I was very impressed by the large room at a very decent price, its amazing location (right near the town square), and one of the best breakfasts I have ever had at a hotel. I am very impressed and would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

I booked this hotel for a birthday surprise for my boyfriend and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. The hotel service was fantastic from the minute we arrived and were offered complementary glass of champagne! The location is great, all main attractions are within walking distance. I would definitely reccomend staying at this hotel.
