Dining
The culinary experience at Brasada Ranch invites guests to savor the ranch life – from enjoying a coffee and gourmet snack at The Ranch House, a leisurely and luxurious dining experience at our signature restaurant, Range, a private party or event in The Barn, a rejuvenating smoothie or sweet treat at The Athletic Center, or enjoying an ear of sweet grilled corn from The Outpost, there is something for every taste and mood at Brasada Ranch.
Here at Brasada Ranch our high-desert cooking embodies the pioneering spirit and graciousness of the past with the comfort and style of today, while also focusing on issues such as sustainability, health and wellness. Embracing the ranch philosophy of living off of the land, breaking bread with family and friends, and cultivating a wide-open richness of life that cannot be found in any large town or city, a sense of authenticity and heritage are alive at Brasada Ranch and are reflected in the food.
Our Executive Chef, Adrian Carpenter, prepares the menus daily using fresh, local ingredients cooked in simple, flavorful ways to enhance the natural textures and tastes. We only work with farms that raise their animals in healthy, humane and natural manners, and their crops using organic practices, with a great focus for minimizing the Resort’s environmental footprint. Looking forward we envision our own greenhouse on property. And while our farm-to-fork and “Locavore” approach certainly complements our LEED certifications and operational approach, our simple goal is to provide the best tasting ingredients and the finest dining experiences possible. Research and taste buds show that natural, organic meats, non-farmed fish, naturally grown vegetables and dairy products, taste better, look better, and are ultimately much healthier for all of us.
Simply put, guests of Brasada Ranch are reconnected to nature, friends, and family as new traditions of food and dining are created around the many tables.
In The Ranch House you’ll also find a variety of gourmet foods and drinks so that guests, on a whim, can throw a happy hour party back at their home or cabin or right out on the wrap around patios with fire pit offering panoramic views of the high-desert. Pre-arrival shopping services are also available upon request.
Recreation
Outside Magazine recently rated Central Oregon one of the top 15 sports and recreation communities in America, and for good reason. Here you’ll find some of the most exhilarating cycling, hiking, fly-fishing, paddling, rock climbing, rafting, and golfing in the country, all set within one of the most beautiful place on earth. And here at Brasada Ranch guests are provided a wide-array of recreational opportunities including an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Peter Jacobsen, Spa, 17,000 square foot Athletic Center, young adult and kids activity center, equestrian center, miles of hiking and biking trails, fly fishing, white water rafting, and so much more.
The Peter Jacobsen designed course is undeniably one of the most beautiful and enjoyable in Bend and Central Oregon. Here your ball soars farther, as does your eye, with dramatic, unmatched views from nearly every hole of the surrounding Buttes and Cascade Peaks. Course play is reserved for Members and Resort Guests. The Brasada Ranch Equestrian Center is one of the finest west of the Mississippi River, complete with multiple arenas, trail riding experiences and instruction for all ages and abilities, miles of soft trails over thousands of acres, a unique EquiShare program, and luxurious stalls for boarding.
The 17,000 square foot Athletic Center at Brasada Ranch includes two oversized, outdoor, seasonal pools, grotto with waterfall, and five outdoor hot tub spas. Indoors you’ll find a year-round lap pool and state-of-the-art fitness center with regularly scheduled activities.
If you are ever looking for your kids at Brasada Ranch, you will find them at the outdoor pools with water slide and “lazy river” or at The Outpost, which also hosts regularly scheduled outdoor experiences. Our youngest guests are also in heaven here with arts and crafts, plenty games and toys, and our indoor tot’s pool with fun water features.
Our professional fly fishing guides are ready to custom tailor an experience to the many surrounding rivers where the fish are biting, and clinics are held regularly on-property in the summer months at our ponds stocked with Largemouth Bass, Bluegill and Crappie. Guests are also welcome to catch and release at our ponds at their leisure.
Guests at Brasada Ranch are also just 45 minutes from the Class II and Class III waters and beautiful scenery of the Deschutes and McKenzie Rivers. Certainly there are more rivers to explore, though on these our guides have the perfect half and full day trips. Custom charter trips may be arranged for families and groups.
Central Oregon and the area surrounding Brasada Ranch is irresistible to cyclists. Miles of marked trails here on property and 484 miles of single track are within an hour's drive. The Resort also has miles of paved trails and rental bikes are available. Road cyclists simply need to turn left or right at the entrance to the Resort. Both choices lead to epic rides.

“Outstanding resort in the Oregon high desert”
Spent one night at the Brasada Ranch. Was an unexpected pleasure. The property has undergone a huge renovation after an ownership change, and now appears brand new. Rooms are extremely spacious, feature attractive decor, and are absolutely spotless. Spa / fitness center / yoga room / cafe are perfectly situated and again, are absolutely spotless and brand new. Bistro has a small, but very creative menu which changes throughout the day - and amazingly, moderately priced for a resort. (I know, I'm not supposed to post exact prices, but my wife and I had 2 dinners with an appetizer for under $50 with one drink - seriously, I've paid that much for a burger and glass of wine when staying at other locations.) Golf course is very well laid out and in pristine condition. Challenging, but not impossible for a bogie golfer. Equestrian center looks impressive (didn't go there, but will on our next visit). Great hiking in and around the gorgeous, desert neighborhood of high-end vacation homes. Grand opening happened after our stay, so the main restaurant was not yet open - unable to comment, but would assume it will be at the same extremely high standards as the rest of the property. Would absolutely recommend this resort, and will definitely return.
“Loved It”
They are renovating the hotel, so we were upgraded to a cabin. WOW, the view was awsome, the cabin was beautiful, the people were friendly. Would stay again in a heart beat.
“Making it a family tradition”
We enjoyed our time at the Brasada very much and plan on making it a family tradition. We were upgraded from a two bedroom cabin to a three bedroom whch was wonderful. Clean and quiet. We did have to seach out how to make horseback and golf reservation because the "book of directions" we expected wasn't in the room yet. They were working on it, I'm sure it is because the place was so new. The spa and one of the restaraunts weren't open yet but that was Ok with us. Looking forward to maturing as the resort matures.
“I'll be back!”
The staff were professional and personable. The room was clean, comfortable, and inviting. My only complaint is that I did not stay long enough!
