“that was good”
I had a great time at the hotel with my girl.
“Good value for San Diego”
This hotel has been upgraded since our last visit and was very nice. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was great.
“Great, everything was perfect”
Great, everything was perfect
“Definite 2 star hotel”
Staff Very helpful. I managed to lock myself OUT of the bathroom. Manager immediately attempted to fix the problem but, when he couldn't, got the maintenance guy there in 30 seconds. It's an older motel and that lock clearly should be replaced with one which doesn't allow this to happen, but problem solved in a total of 3 minutes. Check-in was easy, and the minimal breakfast items were always kept full. Housekeeping did a fine job. 2 issues with room: 1. Some non-smoking rooms smelled like someone had just been smoking there. Looks like the cause is the giant ashtray just outside the doors. 2. Burning smell when light on in bathroom-appears to be from the heater/vent. Noticed slight improvement over my multi-day stay, but should be fixed. It's not the Ritz, but at 1/5th (1/10th?) the price I didn't expect it to be. I just used it as a place to sleep-and for that it was more than adequate. Not sure it would be ideal if you wanted to spend your entire stay on the motel's property, but you're in San Diego, so you shouldn't want to.
“Will go back”
The front desk staff (Joy) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Rooms need a little updating but overall adequate. Nice neighborhood and not very far from the freeway.
“Good enough”
The hotel's location is very convenient to where I needed to be. There are a couple of good places to eat in the area and the nearby strip mall has everything you need. My room, however, had power outlets not working and was not cleaned (attended to) until 1pm every day during my stay.
“Would go back”
My stay wasn't bad, I was glad that I had a microwave/refridgerator/coffee pot in the room. The breakfast was a plus. the location was perfect for that area, I was minuites from everything, including the freeway. My complaints were; it reminded me of a Motel 6 and not the typical Ramada Inn's that I have stayed in, like in DC, Atalanta or Dallas, the ironing board was broke and leaned to one side, the hot water never got hot, very luke warm, and the last day, it was cold and they didn't havea fitness center, there was several down the street for about $15 a day that opened early and closed late, but that's pricey when I was there for 4 days. I wouldn't mine going back, mainly because of the location, and the staff was very friendly.
“Lack of competition helps them stay afloat.”
Dated hotel in desperate need of a remodel. Peeling paint in bathroom and tub, big stain on chair. "Non-smoking", but people smoking in the halls. If I had stayed there longer than one night, it would have been a horrid experience.
“Basic but good lodging”
This is our second time staying here. It's a basic no-frills hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The curtains were shabby. The breakfast was adequate.
“Very nice place to stay”
Not only would I strongly recommend this hotel, I will stay there the next time I go back to San Diego. It is a little older, but well kept and has been renovated. The staff is great, the breakfast is sufficient and it really isn't as far away from the sites of San Diego as the map makes it appear. We were able to get to the Zoo in about 20 mins and to the bay in about the same amount of time. The town is wonderful and there are several strip centers very nearby as well as plenty of places to eat.
