The whole place had a funky smell. There was at least an inch of dust all around the edge of the walls in the room we were in. There was lots of dust on tops of lamps and the furniture in the room was very old and beat up. There was some really gross stain on the bedspread on my bed. On the positive side the bathroom was fairly clean, there was hot water, and the bed itself was not too bad. Everything about the place was pretty rundown and just dirty looking. We didn't have a lot of money to work with though, and this sort of fit the bill. Next time I would look to be a little further away from New Paltz at something cleaner.

Was visiting new paltz , only stayed one night. Hotel is older but the room was clean (there is a slight smell of smoking). The bed was not the most comfortable but fine for a quick stay. About 10 mins to the main strip of the town, so very quiet. The woman who checked us in was very nice. Would definitely stay again.

Recommended no frill motel
I was pleasantly surprised by this no frills hotel. Nice king bed, clean updated bathroom. very effective blackout curtains appreciated as the window was right at ground level. The place is a couple miles out of town and all by itself so quiet.

Expensive for what we got. No breakfast, hair conditioner or shower gel. However, they were very generous with towels. And we appreciated their attempts to make the facility pleasant. They were also very responsive in correcting a problem we had with the shower.

This Rodeway Inn advertises a continental breakfast to be available daily. False advertising. Additionally this Inn advertises a free daily paper. False advertising. The room television requires an advanced av degree to operate. We required assistance every time we turned on the set. My wife & I are fully capable of operating an advanced system. This tv hadn’t bridged the area to “user friendly” yet. Because of the above inconvenience and false advertising, Rodeway owes me services in kind

Room was a non smoking room that reeked of smoke. The smell was horrible. Opened the windows because it was so bad but the smell never went away. Asked to change rooms and were told they were fully booked.

Very, very rundown. Smelled of smoke. Outside area not at all clean. Garbage strewn around. Needs major overhaul!!! Price jacked up because they of college parents weekend in the area. Only stayed because it was late, we were tired, and just needed to sleep for one night. Very disappointing! Will not stay again and would not recommend to anyone else c

We do our best to ensure that smokers do not smoke in our nonsmoking rooms or common areas, both of which result in a bad musty smell; and when a situation like this occurs, we try to address it immediately, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting to restore the clean smell of our accommodations. Staff was unable to troubleshoot payment issue with Expedia. Expedia was great on the phone, hotel staff said it "wasnt there problem that expedia didn't pay them". Terrible.
