“nicer than expected”

Staff was courteous, room clean and comfortable, breakfast basic but good enough. The Days Inn was in walking distance of everything we had to do. Some good restaurants in area, especially Baby Cakes.

“Days Inn Poughkeepsie stay”

This hotel was close to everything, clean and very quiet. The breakfast was a little lacking and could've used a few more items, but all in all, it was adequate. The beds were very comfortable.

“Glad I stayed.”

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The single story section of rooms in the back with parking right outside your room was very convenient. The room was spotless with no odor of any sort. The bathroom was well stocked with towels. Basic, but very clean and some attention to detail, such as a directory in the room of what the tv channels....a small thing that I find very helpful. Nice complimentary breakfast, helpful restaurant recommendations by staff. Appreciate their pet friendly attitude and grassy areas around the hotel. Will definitely stay again.

“paper thin walls”

I can only guess that our neighbor had an enlarged prostate, as he seemed to flush the toilet every 15 minutes, and the sound was so loud it sounded as if an airplane toilet was going off. Also, there was no way to control the heat, and even the AC wouldn't turn on. So if you're a sound sleeper, this hotel might work for you. The breakfast was good, and the am front desk staff were friendly.

“Good to stay the night”

My room smelled heavily of cigar, and there were ashes in the lock of the TV's remote control. There was a leak somewhere I couldn't identify, that made the area near the bathroom door damp. The heater was noisy, but where I am from we do not have heaters, so I don't know if it was too much or just normal. Otherwise the room was very clean and comfortable. There is a pizza place just crossing the street and a block away there's a diner. Other shops are nearby as well.

“Fair accommodations”

The room was fairly old and lacked maintenance on the radiators and air conditioners whose covers were loose and falling off. (room 220)

“Fair”

Location of the hotel is a problem since it is on a one way street. Need to know the area a little better to get back to your destination. Air condioner and heater were damaged. TV remote did not work that well. Overall rating would be fair.

“the staff was great”

Hotel was easy to get to and centrally located to restaurants and Headless horseman. Really should have an elevator for anyone w/ disabilities or excess luggage.
