“Wonderful location”

We picked the hotel, because we were too late to get the accommodations we wanted in one of the Cinque Terre villages and a friend suggested Rapallo as an alternative. Rapallo wasn't as convenient to Cinque Terre as we thought, but overall we were very pleased with our decision. Our room had a balcony overlooking the waterfront with the offshore medieval castle close and very photogenic. The room was clean and convenient with everything up to expectations We arrived by train and walked to the hotel. After lunch in the hotel restaurant terrace overlooking the sea, we were able to check-in a little before 3 PM. The lady at the front desk suggested that we catch the 3 PM passenger ferry to Portofino and with a slight jog, we were able to catch that ferry from the nearby pier. We stayed three nights and asked the hotel for recommendations to restaurants. The local restaurants are reasonably priced and excellent. The food was even better than what we had in Florence and less expensive. We particularly enjoyed the local, very thin focaccia al formagio (two thin layers of crispy crust filled with a non-stretchy cheese). In the mornings we were able to catch a fast train to get to Cinque Terre and get there in about 40 minutes. In the afternoon, when we reached the point of exhaustion, we caught the next train back, which took 75 to 80 minutes. The only small annoyance was that there is no printer with the free computer, so it is very difficult to print a boarding pass.

“Perfect Base”

The hotel was a perfect base for us to see the Rapallo area.The hotel staff were helpful with any questions we asked and had a good knowledge of what to see and do.We wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again.

“Wonderful Waterfront Hotel, Great Location”

My husband and I had a great three nights here on our honeymoon. We had a waterfront room with a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel was in a fabulous location, just a 5 min walk from the city's rotunda and summer music festival... very close but not right in the middle of the noise and action. It was also about a 15 min walk to the train station. We'd definitely return!

“Best Hotel in Rapallo if....”

...The best hotel in Rapallo only if you go for a sea view room. The sea view rooms have incredible views but the other rooms are pretty terrible over looking a very busy road.

“Excellent hotel right in the centre of Rapallo”

The hotel is right on the seafront, close to the ferry terminal for Portofino and San Fruttuoso. Rapallo is a lovely town with good sea front walks, many restaurants and shops, but not too spoilt by tourism. The hotel is clean and comfortable with adjacent (limited) parking and ideal for just staying and relaxing or as a base for touring Liguria.

“Good 3 star hotel with friendly staff and great views”

Good sized room, above average breakfast and very friendly staff. Good location at one end of the promenade, five minutes walk from the train and bus stations. My only concern would be rooms at the rear of the hotel which overlook a noarrow busy road and I think could be noisy. After reading other reviews we paid the extra for a room with a balcony. This was worth every penny - what a fantastic view!

“2 nights' stay, January 2012”

The view from my room was superb. The room itself was rather cramped, but it was a single and the bed was a small double. I have stayed in a double room at this hotel which was very spacious. The bathroom is comfortable with a powerful shower and large bathtowels. Breakfast is continental and includes home-made cakes (more like tea-breads) which were delicious - there is an automatic coffee machine but the staff will obtain traditional coffee on request. The restaurant is excellent and the menu includes a more unusual variety of local dishes than are usually found in thel restaurants.

“Great location”

The hotel is perfectly located. It's right on the water, with a tiny beach in front of it and as you see in the pictures overlooking this castle which is absolutely gorgeous especially at night when its lights are turned on. Also it's just a 7-minute walk from the train station. We enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast was pretty good too. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. I absolutely recommend this hotel.

“Palourdes et chaleur.”

Belle ville. Quand on arrive de Nice et que l'on se dirige vers Florence s'est un arrêt idéal pour couper la route en deux... Un peu bruyant comme endroit mais belle vue sur la méditérannée. La table de l'hôtel est délicieuse (conseil pour l'entrée: spaghetti aux palourdes, miam miam). Le climatiseur ne fonctionnait pas; à plus de trente degrées le jour et à environ vingt la nuit le sommeil ne vient pas facilement. Ce fut le bémol de l'endroit.
