Built in 1908, the Art Nouveau hotel overlooks the Gulf of Tigullio from terraces, verandas, and a rooftop garden. Le Cupole - Located in the roof garden with views of the Tigullio Gulf, the à la carte restaurant serves a seasonal menu with a focus on regional Ligurian cuisine.
Chamberlain Restaurant - With a veranda offering panoramic views of the Portofino Promontory, the restaurant serves Ligurian and Mediterranean cuisine along with a distinct wine list. Al fresco dining is available in the summer.
La Vie della Seta Lounge Bar - Furnished with sofas and Belle Époque mirrors, the lobby bar extends to a terrace and serves drinks and light fare. Guests can enjoy jazz and piano music in the evenings.
Pool Bar - Open during the summer, the bar serves bistro-style and à la carte lunch, snacks, and cocktails.
Room service is available during limited hours.
Recreation
Open during the summer, the outdoor pool is surrounded by sun beds and umbrellas. The 2-story wellness center features a fitness room, Turkish bath, sauna, and spa tub.

“Highly recommend this hotel”
This is the second year in a row we have returned to this hotel. It's well located, has great amenities, and the rooms are very clean and very comfortable. We also ate in the hotel restaurant this year, which was exceptional. The staff are all courteous and friendly. Our stay was very relaxing.
“Loved this hotel - August 2006”
Just got back from our stay at the Grand Hotel Bristol in Rapallo. The hotel was beautiful and the pictures were accurate, we liked it so much that we extended our stay by two days. The saltwater pool and pool area are really nice and the views from the hotel are amazing. All the staff at the hotel was really nice and very helpful. Rooms are very nice and roomy and have large bathrooms. Hotel and guestrooms are extremely clean. THe Hotel is a short distance to the train station - about a 8 euro cab ride. It is a nice walk into the main area which takes about 15 minutes on a pathway along the ocean. If you are not up for a big walk, I would suggest renting a car because the walk back to the hotel is uphill. The hotel restaurant is really good but it has a limited selection - 2 or 3 first plates and 2 or 3 second plates, but they provide a fabulous breakfast with bacon, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries etc. included during your stay.

The best hotel we have stayed in by far. Room was well appointed, with breathtaking views across the gulf to Portofino. All the staff were, professional, friendly, spoke English and couldn't do any more to make the stay more enjoyable. A pleasant 15 mins stroll from hotal to Rappllo centre, with spectacular views along the coast. Would particularly recommend the Spa in the hotel, the staff were professional and friendly, the facilities superb and the massage and steam room so relaxing.
“fabulous view of the gulf and Portofino”
Lovely, comfortable hotel. Charming room in soft yellow colours with light streaming through the big balcony window. View of the Portofino penninsula and bay stunning. Would go back again tomorrow if could afford it. Breakfast was comprehensive and the terrace really lovely. Dinner was romantic but really expensive. 97 euros for wine, water,salad and pasta. Probably better value if you are not a vegetarian as we are.
