“The Government Hotel Review”
OUr room was very nice and detailed with clean bathrooms. The bed and bed sheets were so comfortable. We also very nice service. the whole hotel in general is very sophisticated, fancy and so characteristic! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
“Intimate Governor near it all”
A recent stay at Portland's Governor Hotel proved to be cozy and convenient. Staff was extremely polite, helpful and proactive when appropriate, and the location was great for us two walking types. Pearl District very close by, waterfront, etc. Our only complaint would be that at this price, we'd like a larger room or a tiny bit of sky outside the window.
“I'd stay there again.”
large, clean & quiet room; attended to my one issue in a timely manner. great location- walking distance to Powell's, transit, shopping, spa, etc. fitness equipment's new and great quality. friendly & responsive staff. I especially appreciated the restaurant, Jake's-great food, service and ambiance.
“Great Visit”
The Governor is a classic place, great service, nice rooms with a lot of charm. Jake's downstairs is a great restaurant, that has a fun early and later happy hour. The work facilities are top notch. Ask for a room with a balcony.
“Impressed with Big Rooms”
Although I was disappointed about the late 4pm check-in, everything else was great. I was also impressed by how big the rooms are, we had a lot of space to relax and enjoy our room. Overall, great place to stay.
“Classy and convenient”
I have to admit, it was the "Expedia Special Rate" that attracted me to The Governor. It was a late night in and early morning out, but I enjoyed the accommodations and look forward to going back and taking advantage of the various amenities.
“Beautiful Hotel”
Rooms was a littel small but very nice.
“Immaculate room in the heart of downtown”
Top quality remodeled room in historic hotel. Nicely appointed and very clean. Location is convenient to MAX and Streetcar, and staff was friendly.
“A Top Notch Hotel in Portland, Oregon”
I was very impressed with the great service of the hotel staff. I had a problem with the window not securing in my room and they were quick to upgrade my room quickly. The hotel restaraunt was superior and not over priced. It was right down town and with-in walking distance of all major shopping and eating establishments, no need for a car! The morning paper delivered outside my door every morning was a nice surprise. Starbucks in the lobby was a pleasure although the in-room coffee was Tullys another of my favorites! It also had one of the best mattress's that I have slept on including my own. I would not hesitate to stay here on my next visit to wonderful Portland Oregon.
“Wonderful place”
This hotel is gorgeous. It's close to mass transit and lots of must see sights in the downtown area. We had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat.
