“Top notch service”
This hotel is in a great location, has nice large rooms, and good room service food. The real asset though, is the staff. Front desk staff were kind enough to extend a late check out for me. The bellman gave me recommendations for lunch and a ride there in the shuttle van. The real eye opener into the quality of staff is when I lost my wedding ring there. As you can imagine, losing your wedding ring is a traumatic experience. The housekeeping manager Chris helped me look everywhere, but we could not find it. He kindly took down my information and told me he would keep looking. The next morning I got a phone call from him......He found my ring! He overnight shipped it to me, and my ring is now reunited with my finger. I cannot say enough good things about the staff.
“Good Hotel”
I enjoyed our recent stay at the Eastland Park. It is an excellent example of an old grand hotel. Be warned-- it is not a modern facility and I like that. It does, however, have most modern amenities such as Wifi, in-room coffee, and a small fitness room. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. Some of the furniture and carpeting is older, but I like that, too. It is close enough to the Old Port area that walking is possible. You will be very briefly walking through an area that seems to have a large concentration of homeless folks, but they were harmless and there was a total lack of panhandlers. As was previously mentioned, parking in the garage is expensive. All in all, we would definitely go back.
“All good”
All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the shuttle to and from the airport and attractions. Our room, though older, was well maintained and comfortable.
“Great spot, will be back. The city has the best restaurants”
The best city for restaurants. Hotel was great. Close to everything and very clean. A return for sure.
“Good basic hotel”
The Eastland falls somewhere between a luxury hotel and a budget hotel. My room was clean and offered nice views of the city. The bathroom, by comparison to luxury hotels, was small, but this is not important to me. There were no puff\y duvets and piles of pillows, which frankly I find a nuisance, so I was happy. There is parking right next to the hotel. Best of all, the location is great - just a block from Congress Street which many great restaurants and Portland Stage Company just a few steps away.
“Great spot”
Great staff. Provided us with great information on restaurants, pubs, etc... Superb location, specially for gigs at the nearby State Theater
“Downtown Hotel”
The staff was very helpful and the interior was recently renovated.
“great time”
we had a great time, everything about the hotel worked well for us.would go back there again
“Not a cookie cutter hotel, a period piece gem.”
We have been staying at the Eastland Park for decades, always can't wait to go back. It is in the art district of Portland, which some might find seedy, but I find coloful and interesting. Two short blocks from Portland's best restaurant, the 555 on Congress street. Walking distance from the heart of Portland, Exchange St. And a great price.
“Great Romantic Stay!”
This hotel was very convenient to downtown Portland. The room was luxurious and the top-floor bar had a gorgeous view of the city. I would recommend this to couples and families!
