I had stayed here previously, but I didn't remember it being quite this bad. There is no one in the lobby during the day and check-in is strictly at 4pm. My room had hair in the sink and a broken bulb that fell out of the fixture. Some maintenance guy knocked on my door in the middle of the day when I was trying to nap before a concert that night, and he thought my room was empty. So clearly management isn't great. The corridor smelled strongly of food odors and cigarette smoke. I didn't have the energy to deal with it all, but needless to say, I'd avoid like the plague. It was an incredibly weird stay.

Smelled, fridge was loud, only one towel, shower was horrid and didn’t work well. People smoking right out the only door which is a side door because the lobby is closed but two hours.

Our room door didn't lock and the overall state of the hotel was quite gross. Not in a way that the staff could make cleaner themselves; the hotel is very run down and needs renovations to make cleaner/safe. We were also there in what was described as a freak ice storm, but there was no salt/sand anywhere to make the parking lot or entrances safe to walk on and they were pure sheets of ice. To be honest, it made me understand why people in the US sue people/businesses so often. Would absolutely not recommend or stay again.

It was during the ice snow storm and they did not take any measures to ensure their patrons could get to the lobby and out to th parking lot safely. There was inches of ice that had not been salted graveled shoveled NOTHING! The front desk just stared at me as i struggled to slide into the lobby. On my way out i literally had to sit on my but and scoot to my car to ensure i wouldnt fall and break an ankle. It was the most ridiculous unsafe thing i have ever experienced.

Cheap, but falling in disrepair
Used to love this hotel, but it's gone down hill. The lobby isn't open, and they won't let you in, which means we had to wait for an Uber outside, not only cold but didn't feel safe in Portland waiting outside at night. The original room we were given had a toilet that wouldn't flush, so they transferred us to the room across the hall. That room had a door that wouldn't close, stains on the carpet, and sticky floors. The sink leaked as well, and one of the beds was broken. We were able to get the door closed, but had to really push on it, and it took several tries to open and close each time. I decided to just deal with it as at that point I was late to the event and didn't have time to move rooms again. Floors in hallway were messy and dirty. Furniture in the rooms is scratched, scuffed, and dented. Outside is littered with cigarette butts, and guests and staff were smoking directly in front of the exits and paths, so there was not a way to avoid getting cigarette smoke blown in our face while walking in. We ordered food and since the lobby isn't open, it was left outside but despite staff being in the lobby, we were not notified of a delivery, which although not necessary, would have been nice. Lastly, the hospitality room that was supposed to have a light breakfast was just filled with old furniture and so no breakfast was available. Ice machines did not work, so no ice either. There was a refrigerator and microwave, and both were clean so that was nice.

BEST hotel EVER!!
I promised I am not being paid or hotel credit (god i wish, lol) to say this, but this literrally is the best hotel I have ever stayed in!!! Where do I begin, Drew, Mike, Stephen, all are rockstars in my book. The cleanliness speaks wonders and the NOISE!! Oh the noise!!! lol It was not just one night or four that were quiet, but the ENTIRE time I have been here. You could not hear anything!!Just so tranquil and peaceful and the caring staff, I will miss. I wish I could stay forever. The one thing that really gets me, but I don't say anything, is the lighting...This had such perfect warm colors and lighting to match, which has always played a major role in my anxiety. I also have extremely sensitive eyes since birth, and oh my gosh i cant say enough!! These front desk guys BUST THERE ASS to deliver good service! I cant wait to come back. I am dead serious when I say, I wish I could live here. I am in such aww over the price and the area. The price is SO affordable and the area, well I would've never expected to have this much relaxation in downtown Portland. I am a fine dining chef of 24 years, and have stayed and worked for some of the nicest hotels in the world. THIS TAKES THE CAKE!!!

Bedbugs and Urine
This stay was one of the biggest regrets I’ve had while booking through hotels.com . Let’s start with the dark, urine smelling hallway. Then follow that up with a random guy following you asking if you had any money to spare. Once you get into the room you find that it was not cleaned throughly. Hairs on the pillows and blood spots led me to lift up the mattress. Bedbugs. Immediately decided to leave the property and check in across the street. I lost out on money at this property as I paid for two nights.

The hotel was dirty and disgusting. Stains all over the carpets. The toilet didnt flush, the whole hotel smelled heavily like cigarette and Marijuana smoke! The room was very outdated and unkept. The employee at the front desk was very unbothered about our complaints. Dont waste your time or money!

Needs an update
Staff was great and you can tell they try to clean as much as possible, but the condition is bad. The first thing you notice is the smell of cigarettes through the hallways. When you get to the room, again we'll take care of but you can tell they are masking the smell of smoke. Floors have spots and stains all over them.

Broken light switch in bathroom. Missing smoke detector in room. Mystery stains on chairs. Patches in drywall not painted over. Bathroom door did not have a complete door knob assembly, unable to close /lock bathroom door. Bathroom shower control temps were reversed.

Stayed here for a concert at the moda center. Being within walking of the moda center is the only good part. Whole hotel was dirty. Smells as soon as you walk into the lobby, room smelled, carpet stained, 1 small towel for a double room, all the furniture was scatched up, view was bad, no elevator, ice machine didnt work, no water in the vending machine. Also, theres no restaurants or bars within walking distance. Would only stay here if i absolutely had no money to stay anywhere else.

WOULDN'T STAY HERE-THIS IS NOT HOW IT LOOKS
We arrived at 5:15pm and the office clerk was gone, there was a sign on the door that said the office is only open from 4pm to 8pm. There was a second sign that said be back in 20 min..so 1.25 hrs into 4 hours you're open and during your check in time there is nobody to check in with. The hotel was run down, stains on the carpet, no ice maker (broken) and the 1 hotel staff we saw was RUDE and clearly didnt want to be there. No way to check out in the morning, no instructions and of course the office is closed

Great inexpensive Moda center hotel
Great spot for a quick show at Moda, park at hotel and walk. Inexpensive, clean, but well used. I asked for a room on second floor because I was alone it felt safer, hotel immediately complied, that was nice not to have to fight them for it.

When we arrived at the property, the room I reserved was not available. They tried to give me two rooms, splitting up myself and my teenage daughters. The room was absolutely filthy, stains everywhere. The towels were so worn that there were holes in them. There was no lobby for coffee as stated in the description. The area was unsafe. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!

Location was good for convenience to the convention center. However it smelled not in the halls and the rooms. Everything needs updating. There were holes in our bed sheets. Lamp shades all torn. Staff was helpfull.

Too bad it’s gone downhill
I have stayed here before and the staff was great. This time the lobby was locked and you dealt with them through a window. The place is looking run down. The room was clean enough but the towels were a joke. Small, stained, frayed at the edges and rough. They have a breakfast room but it’s not open, not even coffee. Coffee in the room but we all know what that’s like. I was disappointed that it has gone downhill since I last stayed there. I like the location because it’s close to public transport to get you downtown.

The room was not clean. I found a meth pipe in my room. Behind them there's homeless sleeping in tents. The carpet was stained. The ice machine is out of service and from the 3/8 unch of dust has been for a long time. The sheets were clean and i couldn't find any bed bugs. Only good thing i can say
