“Nordic Motel”

Clean, quiet, decently appointed, very convenient to the airport! The staff were friendly. The only quibble: paying $xx (a fully-refundable deposit) for potential cleaning charges; should be waived for repeat customers who have been cleanly in the past, imho. My compliments!

We were pleasantly surprised with just how great the Nordic turned out. First off, the room was very clean and very cozy. It's situated in a good location just outside the city with easy access to freeways whether you're going downtown or hiking up to Multnomah Falls. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Also, great staff. They were very ready and willing to do anything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We stayed two nights and will almost certainly be staying there again on our next time through Portland.

I am so glad I found this little place on Expedia for my one night stay in Portland. It had great reviews for a cheaper and small motel, so I figured it was worth a try. It was in a part of town that made me skeptical, but as I settled into my stay there, it was apparent very quickly that the owners made it very important to keep the rooms very clean, comfortable, and equipped with extras. I went to my room to find it exceptionally clean, with their attention to detail even attending to making sure the beds were free of bugs by having them wrapped. The room came equipped with a microwave and full size stove/range, and when I asked about a refrigerator to store food from traveling, they delivered one within ten minutes. I also had two separate lovely conversations with the husband and wife owners, who were both very helpful. I will definitely stay there again if I am in need of lodging in Portland.

“Charming and Quiet, A great deal”

I would give this a hotel all 5’s. The best deal for your money. To begin with I called another online company but they couldn’t book a room because of the time. It was 1:00 in the morning. Then I tried Expedia and the time was no problem.The owner/clerk check in person, Lisa, happily checked me in at 1:00 am in the morning. The location of this hotel is good. You are within a ½ mile of a lot of restaurants and entertainment. The hotel was completely remodeled recently. Granite bathroom sinks and roses and plants outside your room await you. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. The hotel was not over crowded when I checked in if you are looking for some place quiet.

I recommend the heck out of this place. The staff goes way above and beyond to make sure you have any and everything you need. The decor of the room is basic but it is also very comfortable. It is a quick cab ride (which they will arrange) to the airport and the room has menus for delivery food if you want to dine in. The price is such a deal considering the location, comfort and service. This is my first ever review but I just wanted to show my appreciation for a great stay!

“You get what you pay for”

A comfortable room was a surprise as the surrounding were industrial off a main highway. The main line of the BNSF railway is across the main highway and unless you put the fan on for some white noise you will have a problem sleeping. The price is great, but they apparently get some lowlife customers due to the rules they have of a cash deposit and some of the signs in the office.

The room was fine, I slept in it. There was Chinese food left in the refridgerator...I wondered what else had not been checked/cleaned.

I needed a hotel room close to the airport and to the highways for a couple of days. Nordic offers this perfect connection plus the room quality - great bed comfort ! - , which is comparable to hotel's standards. And the price was right! Sole drawback: the noise of the cars ar night for sensitive ears. Excellent pick for the purpose I had.
