THANK GOD we were upgraded to another hotel (Home 2, which was very nice!) due to supposed mechanical issues I believe she said, but pulling up to it, my friend said no way was she going to stay here. It looked MUCH better online, you DO NOT want to stay here. We also thought they maybe had some type of housing going on here and not so much overnight travelers. The front desk gal was very nice and called up by name and said Expedia had arranged this upgrade for us at the same cost, where we ended up with a suite next to each other and were very happy with that!

The bed was very comfortable. The pool was okay, but a bit over chlorinated and made my sensitive skin burn a bit. The AC unit appeared to be leaking into the floor, even though it was off. I made sure to let the desk know when we left. The front desk staff was rude, both to us and to other people trying to check in or get service. Additionally, they tried to charge us a smoking in the room fee, because they found cigarette butts in the trash! That's where cigarette butts go! Upon, calling about the charge, the first person I spoke with was very rude and disrespectful, when I asked about the pending charge on my account. When I asked to speak with a manager, there was not one there at 4:30pm, and the front desk person had no idea what time the manager would be there the next day. When I called the next day to get to the bottom of it, the manager was able to give me a more accurate response about the charge, and reversed it. There was an underage hotel party going on across from us that was disruptive. However, the front desk staff did not care at all.

Ok if you can sleep through noise
People at the front desk were very nice, and the bed was comfortable, but the room smelled very mildew-y, and the walls were VERY thin. We heard neighbors doors regularly slamming, kids screaming, traffic, and loud conversations through the night and early morning, so we weren't able to get much sleep. I wish I could comment on the breakfast, but it stopped at 9am, which I wasn't told at check-in and didn't see a sign in the lobby. (there's a sign on the breakfast room door, but the breakfast room is pretty far from the lobby so I didn't see it until I sought out breakfast at 9:20) Also, no fault of the hotel, but warning other potential patrons of late-night pizza, it was disappointing that the late-night pizza delivery advertised on the hotel key cards never picked up the phone, even though they should have been open another 1.5 hours.

Quality of hotel was low. The shower only put out cold water and I found a hair on one of the towels! Gross! I was originally going to stay for two days but I checked out after 1 after having this experience. Howard Johnson is not my first choice when traveling but I needed an inexpensive place; seems I got what I paid for. I suppose that's what you get for booking lower end hotels!

Would Not Recommend
Would not recommend for the one night stay. Room smelled like old musky socks. Staff was not very friendly upon arrival and you may want to vacuum UNDER the beds before you have a rodent problem. Room #302. I don't even know what the orange thing was. The only good thing I can say is that my daughter enjoyed the pool because it was warm in October. 👎👎

Clean hotel, comfortable bed and pillows, breakfast served however we wanted ti try sone licak dinuts made with potatoes so we dud not eat breakfast at the hotel. Arrived around 6:30 pm and gone by 6:30 am. Had a wonderful meal down on the harbor

Unknown to us, the hotel is "pet friendly". 1st night a dog was barking constantly for about an hour around 9 PM. 2nd night a dog was apparently left in a nearby room and spent several hours running back and forth playing with a toy. VERY NOISEY! Not worth the price. At half the price it would have been just OK.

It's not worth going there even in $25 per night Look like my pockets got ripped by Expedia and hotel together. Loosing faith in Expedia I seen a lot another hotels in city and they were so cheap and far better then this. So just take care n choose wisely

When I arrived in room there was a dirty wash cloth in shower and then in AM when I went to use mouthwash I found that the seal on the bottle was broken and wash was half used. Was also surprised that I had to pay for parking while there which was not my experience at other park and ride to airport hotels

Loved the "button" on the second mirror that provided easy, muted lighting when getting up at night. Also like the second sink outside the bathroom for 2 people getting ready in the morning.

Nice to have airport shuttle but our room smelled like urine, although it seemed clean. Also smelled smoke in the hallway & fire alarm went off so had to deal with that noise for a while. Nice to have the restaurant near & it was very good. Needed more towels!!

I won’t be back
The stay was adequate , the rooms seemed dated , the afternoon person was extremely helpful but the old man that was there in the early morning needs to retire. Grumpy , and fairly short with me concerning the shuttle to the airport .. i left a few hours early for the airport because of his attitude..
