“Nice furnishings and close to everything”

I was struggling with Portland's many one way streets and it was a relief to hand my car over to the valet attendant. Everyone was very helpful getting me checked in. My room was one of the starlight rooms with slanted glass ceilings. The room was kind of small, I was glad I was by myself, but well furnished with a comfy queen bed, flat panel tv and desk and chair. The set up with the windows was interesting, I liked the view but also felt that people in other buildings could see me too well. I was not offered a map a check-in so I relied on my GPS to find a nearby grocery store. The next evening I arrived back to my hotel just in time for the complimentary wine tasting, Yay! After enjoying two glasses of wine, I learned that the hotel did have maps of the local area. I enjoyed to local reading material and information in my hotel room and used it to plan my excursions. There were a few things I dislike about this hotel. The walls were very porous to sound, I could hear the TV in the next room and the valet parking cost was a considerable added expense.

“What went wrong they made right”

Our overall experience at Hotel Vintage Plaza was excellent. Upon check-in to our room for our 21st wedding anniversary, the bathroom was a mess and had flooded onto the room carpet. However the desk staff moved us immediately with no questions, and sent a bottle of fine wine and a note of apology. The new room was pristine and service was perfect.

“Great place for people traveling with their pets”

This is a very well kept hotel in downtown Portland. The staff are extremely cordial. The rooms aren't big but nicely appointed. There are a few larger rooms available with a balcony and a hot tub. These rooms are very lovely. It is a pet friendly place. When you check in with your pet housekeeping brings food and water bowls, treats and pooperscoopers. The restaurant is wonderful no matter which meal you are enjoying.

“Pleasant Place To Stay”

Very friendly downtown small hotel. Everything is first class. My single room felt small, but probably because the hotel squeezed into it a kingsize bed that left no space for any kind of easy-chair or alternate seating other than a hard desk chair. The people at the desk were super-friendly and helpful - - you felt very pampered. Also, the restaurant in the hotel they use for room service has wonderfully tasty food. It was my first visit to Portland, but I certainly came away with good impressions of downtown.

“Great stay in Portand”

This is a great hotel from the very friendly door and bellmen to the front end hotel saff. They helped us book a wine tour and also gave us help and a map to get around the area. The wine and Italian bread between 5 & 6 was also a nice touch.Oh yes the happy hour is free. The room was clean and a good size. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was as good as any and the bakery in the hotel was also very good. No need to go out of the hotel for a meal.Breakfast and evening meal exceptional.Close to downtown and the famous Powells Bookstore and lots of other shopping.Would definatley stay here again!
