“Loved Everything Except the WiFi”
Everything was GREAT... restaurant, service inside and out, wine tasting at 5, it was all terrific except Wifi. I was in Portland on business, yet none of my/our devices was happy anywhere on-site (except for powering up overnight). My Droid picked up and sent email, but that's not a good way to do business. Our iPad, Kindle, and laptop all timed out waiting for the refresh, send, or new app to load. I had to go to a different hotspot to get any work done. I will be happy to stay there again, but hope they can figure out this issue.
“Best location in Portland!”
Being a non-pet couple due to allergies we were slightly shocked to see numerous pets in the lobby when we checked in on Friday afternoon. We were assured that the 7th through 10th floors we completely pet free & to our surprise we encountered no pets for the rest of our stay through Sunday. My wife being very picky did a thorough inspection on her hands & knees with a microscope & found not one pet hair :) The noise level due to Beer Fest was almost non-existent compared to other places we have stayed in the past. They had a great wine reception in the evening (lot's of people bring their pets) that we observed as we went out in the evenings to numerous restaurants that were within walking distance. All in all I would give this place an A+ rating
“As good as it gets in Portland”
A beautiful hotel with an excellent staff. Very comfortable and a great location
“Very comfortable, friendly service”
friendly staff, comfortable rooms, a bit overboard on the in-room marketing (robes, candy, stuffed animals)
“Weekend trip”
Fantastic location.. you really can't beat it. Close to everything. The hotel is well kept.. great restaurant attached as well. A+
“Exceeded expectations. Gorgeous”
We loved it. Decor was awesome. I would say the rooms had a mod 50's vibe mixed with a little contemporary. We did the hosted wine social every night. We brought our puppy and she was treated like a little princess. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Location is in the centre of everything great about downtown portland. Love it.
“More than we expected . . .”
This was our first visit to Portland and we really had no idea where to stay; we only knew we wanted to be close to the downtown area, within walking distance of lots of attractions. We finally chose the Hotel Vintage Plaza and were more than thrilled. It is centrally located with a well informed (and very cordial) staff; the room itself was comfortable and roomy and the "bonus" wine reception allowed us to get to know guests from all over. Because of the location, we were able to experience and do so many different things - so many, in fact, we ended up staying an additional night just to be able to do more. Thank you Hotel Vintage Plaza for making our first (but not last) trip to Portland a fabulous experience!
“Great Location”
The only negative is the street traffic from the rooms. The windows need to be replaced.
“Delightful and close”
Went here for the price but wound up loving it. Pazzo downstairs is a terrific restaurant/hangout, location is 2 short blocks from Pioneer Square (I took the train from PDX and this was an easy walk) and right in the middle of everything. Staff was upbeat and courteous, very pleasant, higher-end hotel. I felt fortunate. Will be returning.
“Hidden PDX Gem”
For the price & proximity to downtown, you can't do much better.
