“Great hotel in a strange location”
I like everything about the Holiday Inn in Jantzen Beach; except for the location relative to its surrounding businesses. It seems to be out of place. Would I stay there again? Yes. The deskperson was genuinely very happy to me; especially after I called to reassure the hotel that I was running late but, I would arrive on the scheduled day.
“Will look for Holiday Inn Express for future hotel stays”
The price was reasonable and everything about our stay was exceptional. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub was clean and relaxing. The continental breakfast was great and included scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy as well as the standard fruit, danish, cereal and yogurt.
“Nice...”
The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The locaton of the hotel was convenient, but to experience Portland a little better, we might go for a place central Portland versus the outskirts next time. Either way, we had a pleasant experience. No complaints.
“Nice, Clean Hotel; Wonderful Stay”
This hotel is located in Jantzen Beach, which is right across the WA Border and close to downtown Portland. The HI Express is located behind and within walking distance of Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Target, and a big mall, yet it is far enough away that it was very quiet and safe. The front desk attendant was very friendly, offered advice on a local jazz festival and restaurants. The area is devoid of traffic and close to the I-5 on-ramp. The jacuzzi and pool were clean and relaxing. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. With a free continental breakfast, you can't go wrong with this place. It is a hidden gem.
“Good Price good location for short stay”
The hotle is in a nice locaton close to a mini shoping center which has Target , Best buy , Toys r us old navy and a mini food court . Staff are very friendly this is one of the reason i have stayed there based on some ones review . Rooms are clean with good size and place is quite .
“good experience”
Nice place I was expecting more luxury for the price, but it was simple not fancy but clean! We had a really nice experience good breakfast!
“Off the beaten path”
Just a bit removed from Portland but close enough not to be aproblem. Add a bit of travel time to get to your destination.
“Good location”
The bed was fantastic. I have a nice queen bed at home, and this was a perfect (and huge) bed. Relatively quiet, slept very soundly. Pretty fair continental breakfast also. Small mall within walking distance, if you have to pick anything up at Target nearby. Overall, very pleased.
“Good comfortable clean stay”
The hotel was very nice but the pool was too cold. I have used pools at other hotels and this one did not feel like it was heated at all
“Close to Jantzen Beach”
Our room was nicer than similar rooms at a nearby big name hotel. It was very quiet, comfortable and very clean. The view wasn't great, but then we were there to go a conference not as vacationers.
