Sold my room to someone else

Pros: Good room. Had two well-lighted work tables. Good bed, good bathroom.
Cons: Stop lying to guests when you make a mistake. Also,this chain has the worst excuse for a continental breakfast I've ever experienced.
Location: Hotel right off freeway, but area has a poorly designed street system. Don't miss the first right turn. Also, weekday a.m. commute traffic is awful.
I'd reserved (and prepaid) a smoking room. Upon check-in, I was told that room was no longer available -- it had been given to someone else. The clerk told me it was my fault for booking through a 3rd party (Expedia). What baloney! So I had to go outside to smoke. It was raining, and the ashtray and trash can were away from the covered porch.

I am going to be talking with my entire front desk staff about reservation procedures and that proper way to handle such issues in the future. As well, I regret to read that our grab-and-go breakfast did not meet your expectations. Your feedback on this issue will be useful to us as we continually work to improve our hotel. Be ready for dragging wet towels to front desk

The bed was comfortable but we were NOT happy with the quality of general hotel. We had to drag wet towels to front desk to get new ones. They told us after first day when we noticed our room wasn't cleaned that we had to schedule a room cleaning, so we said ok tomorrow please clean. "We only clean room after staying 7 days!!!!!! We had paid ahead through Hotels.com and they ran out credit card for incidentles by the time we got to room they had put $250.00 on our card!!! Not to mention the shady people that obviously lived there ALL THE TIME!!

I received a copy of your review, and wanted to take a moment to personally respond. I sincerely apologize that our housekeeping policy did not meet your expectations. Please know that we do only clean the room once a week once you've stayed 7 nights, unless you pay an additional fee for housekeeping. I will work with my staff to ensure that guests are made fully aware of this at check-in. I am also sorry to read of the billing issue you experienced. I will investigate this with my staff to ensure that we can resolve this issue. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We would love to have another chance to provide you with a better experience at our hotel the next time you're in town.

Safe and secured

Pros: Clean, safe and friendly staff
Cons: Housekeeping policy
Location: Excellent location
It's a nice place. Staff are very friendly. I like the most the fact that it is a safe and secured entry. Laundry room access. Room and amenities is exactly what we were looking for in a room. Comfortable and cozy. The only thing I didn't like is the housekeeping policy. I feel that we should get housekeeping service daily and not just once a week or you have to stay a week to be entitled to housekeeping. That policy definitely needs to change. Other than that, we definitely will come back and stay at Extended America for future Vancouver, Wa. travels.

Pros: The room was nice, the staff were extremely friendly and polite.
Stayed here after a long day in Portland. The front desk clerk was super friendly, and the room was nice as well. Would gladly stay here again.

Good location, okayish service for the price

We stopped there for a night on our way to Multnomah after spending the evening at St Helens. It was only a 45 minute drive from Multnomah and just of I-5; hence it was an ideal location. However, for the price we expected better service, After reaching there at 11 PM we had to wait for one hour to be checked in, since they were running the audit. There was not even a restroom available that we could use. The room was okayish, and the bathroom was bad/small. No shampoo or lotion available; they did not carry spare supplies in the reception. The hotel advertises breakfast but only after reaching there we found out it is a grab and go breakfast; muffins and cereal bars to go. That is it. The location was not great; with lots of cheap motels around.
