"Great location and interesting decoration"
A typical Kimpton hotel, with unique room decoration, free wine reception each evening, free coffee in the morning and snacks in the afternoon. The suite was huge, and comfortable. A great location in the middle of downtown - everything is a short walk away. The only down side is the city noise on a Friday evening - this isn't the fault of the hotel but a result of its location. It was quite on a Saturday - July 4th may have contributed.

"Three nights in Portland"
Most quirky hotel we have ever stayed in. Colour scheme loud but it works! Logo everywhere - including the loo roll. Handy for the streetcar and easy walk to restaurants. Felt safe after dark. Can recommend Papa Haydns for meal or even just dessert. Hotel breakfast made a nice change from fry ups but would have enjoyed some more different fresh fruit than apples oranges and bananas.

"Always Our First Choice"
We stayed at the Hotel deLuxe last year for a week and a half. They were fantastic and they didn't let us down this time. This time we travelled with our dog. If I thought we were treated well, our dog was treated like a queen. Waiting in our room for our pooch was a brand new water dish, toys, a dog magazine, doggy waste bags, and a bottle of water. Staff were happy to recommend walks which would be of interest, dog friendly restaurants and parks, and a dog sitter in case we required it. The service is always top-notch and we have recommended this hotel to everyone we know. Another example of the level of service: Upon check-in, staff were friendly and happy to assist. During the drive to Portland, we had a rock chip our windshield. The front desk staff looked up and write down the name and number of the closest repair shops.

"Beautiful, Quaint, relaxing"
Loved this little room! It is smaller by most American standards, but I loved it. I was only one person though and it might have been too crowded for two ( 1-bed, Q-size). Very clean. Quiet! My room faced the interior block on the 9th floor. Good gym (except for the grunting, sweaty guy, but there is always one, isn't there?). I ran the stairs and that was a good workout too ( 9 floors). I walked everywhere, to the Pearl, to the SW, to the water. About 15 min each direction. Great staff, new everything a wheat-allergy gal needs. High recommendation.

"Very nice well maintained hotel in a good area"
The place has a classic feel. Very well appointed and the staff is professional. Only downside was that my room faced an alley, as does probably half of their rooms.

"Cozy hotel with wonderful staff and amenities"
Our 4 night stay was incredible. We were upgraded from hillside to riverside for free for booking with expedia. Everyone associated with the was friendly and extremely helpful with recommendations and tips about the city. Hotel provided free day passes to the street car which was a very short walk from the hotel. The fitness center is large with newer equipment and yoga class was included at no charge. The valet/shuttle was very easy to schedule and far more comfortable than a cab. Bikes were also available for free, and the valet provided us with great instructions and a map to get around. I really cannot say enough great things about this hotel. Even the coffee in the lobby was great!

"Great hotel, great location, great staff!!"
We had a wonderful stay at the Paramount Hotel. The staff was outstanding and helpful with everything. The concierge made dinner reservations for us at fantastic restaurants and planned day trips for us including printed directions. Even when I brought my car to the valet they were friendly, offered to carry our shopping bags and always asked if we needed anything. I was so pleasantly surprised at what a great hotel this is. The location is close to shopping, coffee shops and lots of restaurants. My entire family, without a doubt, would stay at the Paramount Hotel again if we were in Portland.

"Great hotel 5 minutes to Pineer square"
The hotel is very comfy. I love their Italian beddings! Even it's a historical building, no weird smell at all. And it's really convieniant to stay here, with a dinner place just downstairs.
