Ocean views are awesome
The view from the property is awesome. The unit is a little smaller than it looks in photos but it works for 2 couples. We spend most of our time on the patio which was great.

Perfect Position
We had a great time in Port Douglas, because the apartment was in such a convenient spot. It was a short walk just down the hill to several of the best restaurants, in fact we could walk everywhere if we chose to do so. In addition, the lovely big balcony was the best place to sit and look out at the water. A really special spot.

Amazing apartment
This is a great apartment with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The location is fantastic for being able to walk down to the main street and the marina, and the view from the balcony is simply beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Good time in Port Douglas
Very spacious both inside and on the undercover balcony that had spectacular water views. Had everything we needed and the pool at our front door was small but perfect for us. Location is a short walk to Macrossan Street so very convenient. Great communication with ideas on what we could do in and around Port Douglas. Excellent hosts😊

Hard to come back to Realit
The property was awesome as expected. The location was great, well worth the walk up the hill. Peaceful, beautiful views and a shared pool at your door step, shared with very few residents. We never had to touch the car in town , walking everywhere to marina, restaurants , cafes, shops… Highly recommended.

Views alone are second to none. Amazing!
Would go back in a heartbeat!! Fantastic property with spectacular views and also beautiful accomodation. Very well equipped and caters for everyone. Our hosts were super organised, so lovely and their attention to detail is amazing. They sent a word doc (it’s also in the villa book on arrival) with a list of recommendations split by topics which I used daily! This was my second time visiting Port Douglas and I still relied upon it and every single recommendation we visited/ate at was amazing and did not disappoint. Would 100% go back to this property each and every time! So book in quickly so you’re not disappointed :)

Hi Geoff, Thank you for your review and we are glad you loved the view :) We are quite clear about the toilet being in the ensuite area of the main bedroom, of course there is the second toilet if preferred in the other bathroom. If wind gusts blow tree debri onto the balcony we are always very happy to come and sweep / mop balcony for our guests should you choose to stay again. We hope you otherwise enjoyed beautiful Port Douglas :)

Perfect family holiday
We loved staying at this property with our 2 young children. The spectacular view meant that we enjoyed just chilling at the accommodation more than we usually would on holidays. It was magical watching the boats come in and out of the inlet. The Main Street was just a short walk away and the walk uphill with 2 small kids was more than worth it for that view. The villa was clean, spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Also a great local park & playground just down the hill (overlooking the inlet) and scenic lookout over 4 mile beach just up the hill.

Balcony bliss
This is an older property with a stunning view from the large balcony. The apartment is very comfortable and the only downside for us was the pool. It is on the back of the building between car parks. We would recommend this property and gladly stay again. Port Douglas can be really windy and this apartment is on the sheltered side of the hill

The best place to stay in Port Douglas
I don't think that there can be many better places to stay in Port Douglas. The views from the large balcony / living area really make this property. We enjoyed several evenings cooking (BBQ) and eating on the balcony. Location is good although the hill leading up to the property is a bit steep but don't let that put you of. It is only a short walk to the viewing point over Four mile beach. Access is very good with parking only a few metres from the back door. The pool is clean and ideal for a cooling dip.

Villa on top of a hill!
Beautiful views of Port Douglas from high on the point. Watch the boats in and out and all the birds! Beautiful deck space for entertaining or sitting. Lovely ! Bed was not great and if you like to cook the pans are worn and knives dull are only down.

Paradise at last
Fantastic property with great views and easy access to all the delights of Macrossan street. Wonderful verandah (balcony ) where we did most of our relaxing. After visiting Port Douglas over 20 years we have finally found our piece of paradise which will be our ‘go to’ place from now on. Thanks Grant and Sharon we look forward to our next visit.

Amazing place with awesome balcony & views
This place is brilliant. When we first checked in the weather was very overcast yet the view was still amazing. But then we got a blue sky day and the sunset was sensational. We spent 80% of our time on the balcony. It’s only 350 meters from town which is great but just be aware it’s a bit of a hill (which explains the good view). As we had 2 little kids we drove everywhere anyway. We’d happily stay here again.

Perfect place to stay!
We were 2 couples looking to escape the stress of work and enjoy some time in the sun. This was the place! The villa was immaculately clean, the beds comfortable and views 'to die for'. We loved the proximity to the centre of Port Douglas and enjoyed walking down the hill to find a new spot for lunch or dinner. Our hosts left plenty of suggestions for how to spend our time, which was helpful. Also appreciated that the pantry was full of spices and other bits and pieces that would be helpful for eating in. The balcony was the big winner here, and we spent a lot of time under the fans soaking in the views. If it got too hot, the pool or the aircon provided respite. It was a lovely surprise to find a chilled bottle of Yellow sparkling in the fridge on our arrival - Thank you!! Am already sending the property link to friends who have seen my pics on social media and want to know where we stayed!

The whole vibe of the apartment is chilled out and the view is to die for. We enjoyed every minute and watched the changing light on the water while sipping drinks. It is extremely relaxing 😎

Beautiful property with a stunning view!
Even prior to our scheduled arrival, the property owners were in contact to ensure they knew our arrival time and everything would be ready. The property was more than ready on our arrival and was welcoming. It was located in proximity to everything in Port Douglas and made our enjoyment of the area very efficient. But more important, after spending a day enjoying the locality, returning to Island Point Villa was as enjoyable. The view was stunning whose colors changed with the time of the day. Thank you for opening your home for others to enjoy!

great apartment
We were 2 couples for a 5 night stay. The apartment was lovely, the balcony great. In fact we ended up staying in for dinner on 3 of our 5 nights as it was so easy and relaxing to spend time there, the pictures say it all. Great time was had by all, sorry to leave.
