“An ok hotel”

Our main reason for picking this hotel is the location, it is very close to the family member that we are visiting while stayin in Port Charlotte. The hotel is only a couple of years old so everything is still in good condition. If you've stayed at a Microtel before the you know that "micro" is definitely a good description. This year we chose a room with two beds so that we had enough drawer space to store a weeks worth of clothing for two people. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly. We were in a non-smoking room on a floor that had some smoking rooms and the hallway smelled pretty heavily of smoke but the room itself was fine. They were going to charge my credit card again for the room at check out even though I had already paid for it through Expedia so make sure you pay attention when checking out. My parents travel with us when we visit Port Charlotte and they had a problem with the hotel not recognizing that one of their nights was suppose to be free last year so they have a little bit of a history of goofing up on billing. The problem was quickly corrected though. We will probably stay there again the next time we go down. The few drawbacks don't outweigh the convenience of the location for us and the price is fairly reasonable.

“Clean comfortable beds”

I was very happy with this hotel. The rooms were small, but very clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were staying several days to visit relatives in the Port Charlotte area and we used the laundry facilities that were convienient.

“Microtel - Port Charlotte”

The walls were a bit thin for this level of hotel which didn't help since the person next door fell asleep with the TV on and we could hear it throughout the night. Room was smaller than lower-priced chains. Breakfast was okay.

“Was cold that week, but will go back again...”

We do wish the room had a refridgerator and a chair to sit in to relax. the room was very small and we had to lay on the bed to watch t.v.

“WARNING”

room design very English .. the rest was terrible ..except the mgr. bugs in the bed .. a location that goes "bump" during the night was not a good choice or stay.
