“Fantastic Experience!”

This hotel is great value for your money. It has all the ammenities, friendly staff and a great location. The food was great & the view was beautiful. Only a 10 minute walk to the ocean promenade to go swimming in the ocean. This hotel has a private swimming pool, but for those who want to shop along the shore & swim in the ocean, it is a very short walk. The staff is extremely friendly and speak english. They are very helpful & I recommend if you want to explore the island, rent yourself a car. They will arrange a rental company to deliver the car to the hotel for you. Ask for a map of the island at the front desk to take with you while you're venturing out. Also, you can park your rental car in the hotel's underground garage for no additional parking fee. There is a shopping district about 15 min walk from hotel for souvenirs. Prices are extremely reasonable.

“Great hotel in Ponta Delgada”

This was my third trip to Ponta Delgada and my third stay at the LInce. This hotel is located on the east side of the city but still well within walking distance of many great restaurants, post office, supermarket, and wonderful sights. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and accommodating. There is a restaurant in the hotel that serves three meals daily. On this trip, I only went to breakfast in the hotel. Breakfast included cereals, eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, cheeses, pastries, juices, and more; everything was tasty and nicely presented. I would be extremely surprised if anyone left hungry. It was very easy to rent a car at this hotel. After making my own selection from the many brochures available in the lobby, the desk staff made the necessary call. An agent from the rental agency brought the car to the hotel so it was a very simple process. There is an underground parking garage at the hotel where entry is gained through the use of a room entry card. I am looking forward to another trip to this location where I will definitely use the Lince.

Great hotel! It was all we expected and more. Staff are courteous and helpful. Centrally located -- just a 5-10 minute walk from downtown Ponta Delgada. Complementary parking and free high speed Internet are a definite plus. Great value for the cost in all aspects. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Sao Miguel.

“Would use this hotel again when in San Miguel, Azores”

The hotel staff were friendly and informative. The only complaint we had about the hotel was the dining room. We had the buffet on Saturday evening and it did not meet our expectations. The food was cold and most of the containers were empty and it was only 8:00p--the Dining Room is open until ll:00. We did not consider eating another dinner at the hotel. The breafast buffet was good with a many choices but the hot food--eggs, bacon, sausages were also cold.

“Good value for the money”

If you look for a good to high quality level of service this a good choice. From hotel to downtown takes about 10 minutes by walking. If you like golf recomend their packages.

“Modern hotel”

I had a lovely time in the Azores. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, although it was the same every day for the four days I spent there. Ponta Delgada is small and walkable, so even though this hotel was not in the center of town, it was easily accessible by walking or inexpensive taxis. I only have two complaints. The first is that the wireless internet is unreliable. It only worked sporadically. Second, I requested wake up calls for three mornings of my stay. Two were late, and one never occurred! Besides that, I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.
