“Azores 2011”
Hotel staff was excellent. They helped out with many of our side trips, a car rental and restaurants. We would stay here again on a return visit
“Very Pleasant Stay”
We stayed here for six nights and enjoyed our visit very much. The room was a small apartment with one bedroom, bathroom, living area and kitchenette. It was sufficient for small meal preparation and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. Front desk staff were very helpful and allowed us to both check-in early and check-out later than usual. to suit our flight times. We would certainly stay here again.

“2-star hotel with 4-star prices”
This hotel was most definitely NOT a 4-star hotel as advertised. In fact, the website was very misleading as it indicated the rooms had kitchenettes (one of my main motivations for selecting this hotel) but in fact this was only the case for a handful of apartments. Also, views of the water were virtually non-existent. When we checked in we were directed to a room that hadn't been cleaned. Though I clearly indicated I required a non-smoking room on account of being pregnant, we were given a smoking room with an overwhelming stench of cigarettes embedded in the bedspreads and draperies and told the hotel was fully booked when we requested a change. The room service was inconvenient and only available late in the morning when staff showed up, well past the time when guests travelling on business would need to eat. The room lacked basic amenities (e.g., an iron, bathmat, tolietries with the excpetion of a handsoap dispenser). I was extremely disappointed especially given this was not an inexpensive hotel. Next time I would stay at one of the hotels along the waterfront.
