“A Delight!!!”
This hotel was the best for relaxing as it is out of the city. We had the Deluxe Ocean View and it was amazing. laying in bed you can watch boat go by as it is all window. Every was great , the food the service however the only thing was the temperture control of the room. It was cool but very humid so everything seemed damp like the blankets and all. It was so damp in the room our bathing suits would dry. After 10 days you get used to it. A must see serene atmosphere.
“Vivre au XXI siecle”
Tout ce que l'on peut attendre d'un hotel moderne dans un cadre enchanteur et paisible, ce qui n'est pas courant a Hong Kong. Un endroit ou il est vraiment enchanteur de passer du temps et un buffet de fruits de mer au restaurant de l'hotel
“Good value, but out of town”
Modern "hip" style, but a bit souless. Efficient management and a buffet restaurant that's better than it looks. Great room with a good view over the water. Cyberport is about 20 minutes from the city by taxi (about HK$50) or there's a (expensive) minibus from the hotel. Big advantage is that it's half the price of the mainstream hotels in the city and for that reason is an excellent value choice.

Relatively small and English speaker will not have communication problem with the hotel staff. The Gym is well maintained bit the outdoor pool is small and unshaded. Its use is subject to weather condition and it seems the management prefer to close it at the drop of the hat when thereis little suggestion of thunderstorm. Didn't try the bar or Japanese restaurant but there's plenty to choose from in the shopping complex. It was easy to get on the net with my laptop.
“Good business hotel near to Hong Kong University”
Good business hotel, up to the standard you would expect from a Le meridian. Big rooms, comfy bed, good size bathroom with rainforest style shower. Breakfast options were vast, but the buffet was a little pricey. Convenient location for HKU and easy access via the shuttle bus to the city centre.
“Disappointing”
Maybe it was because it was the last night of an amazing trip, but our stay here wasn't great. First they put us in a smoking room even though we had requested a non-smoking one (but quickly moved us), and then various things didn't work inside the room (like the TV remote for example). It's one of those things where you (the reader) might have a completely different experience, because the design of the hotel is incredible and they do their best to make it a 21st century place. But if you're there on an off night, you notice how quickly things can break down. The staff was really nice, though.
“beware of hidden costs”
I used to like Le Meridian Cyberport because of its ocean view, modern chic and relative quietness rare to find in HK island. But the hidden costs this time really surprised me. The hotel shuttle from the central station was no longer free (It costs around HK50 for 2 people each trip, not to mention the impossible schedule of being very infrequent). Why would I use this shuttle and not the taxi? And if taxi is the only transportation to the hotel, then Expedia and the hotel should say that very clearly. The more outrageous thing about Le Meridian getting truly money hungry is that it charges not only additional fee for internet connection, but by the number of computers hooked up in the room. This was also not indicated clearly by either Expedia or Me Meridian ahead of the time.
