“heated pool”
You have to try the private in room heated pool!
“Recommend It”
We stayed in the Champagne Tower room November 2007. Loved the private heart shaped pool. Loved the 7ft Champagne glass bath!! It was our honeymoon therefore they treated us even better and gave us free bottle of champagne a few other small freebies. The room is a little outdated for example there was a wall unit heater/ac and no central heating/cooling system although they worked great and kept the room nice and warm. It would be much nicer is it was renovated i.e new carpet. The room smelled a little funny, we bought incense to cover the smell. Breakfast was not too good but dinner was great, we ate steak. Not many activities to do in November because it was too cold therefore I recommend staying here in the summer.
“Wonderful Getaway”
Great first trip to PS. My wife and I had a great three days of rest and relaxation. Our room was clean and comfortable and appeared recently upgraded. The grounds were in great shape and we enjoyed the nightly entertainment. We had plenty to do at PS, we did not leave the resort during our stay. Our only one small complaint was our breakfast service our first day was a little slow and breakfast was served cold. Our other meals were all excellent. We are already looking forward to going back.
“Great Weekend Get-A-Way Trip”
We went to the Paradise Stream Resort. It was definitely a great weekend get away trip. We stayed in the Diana's Oasis Room with the heart shaped tub, swimming pool, and separate shower. The room was clean and well kept. However, the only complaints that I have were that I noticed a few spider webs, there were stains on the chair, and the television was dated.Otherwise, the room was nice, clean, and comfortable. There were several activities that were provided daily. They also provided us with a daily program which was helpful. We hardly participated in the group activities as we spent most of our time alone together. There are several "independant" activities that you can do together as a couple (ie. biking, arrow shooting, mini golf, paddle boating). However, the campus is rather small. There are several activities that are available off site as well; which is great since the campus is small. We didn't desire to do any off grounds activities because we wanted to relax. Also, it was a rainy weekend when we went. The food is average. Breakfast was okay. The first day the dinner was not great, that may have been because of what we ordered. The second day the dinner was excellent. If you dine out regularly you may not be impressed. We were mindful that they have to serve a lot of people. Night life was cool. They had a band and a comedian when we went. Customer service was excellent. No complaints. Although it is a little pricey, we like that it was serene and all inclusive.
“A Good Weekend Getaway”
Spent a three-day weekend over the 4th of July holiday at Paradise Stream. The room was large and clean. The wallpaper around the toilet was pulling away from the wall, but otherwise everything was in good shape. The only real issue with the room is the bed. The circular bed, although novel, is actually quite uncomfortable. The mattress is more like sofa cushion than a traditional bed. Pillows and linens were comfortable, though. The grounds of the resort were in good shape, and the buildings appeared recently renovated inside. The landscaping was well-maintained, although as a tall man I wish they had trimmed the trees a little more around the paths. We didn't check out the pool, but the basketball hoops and archery range were in good shape. My wife was sad that the only skeeball machine wasn't working. In the dining room, the food was fair, but nothing special. Some items were quite good, others were a bit bland. The dining was two-person tables, which is better than the eight-person tables we experienced at sister resort Cove Haven. The staff were overall very friendly and helpful, often greeting us in passing. The only weak spot was the wait staff; it was very clear they weren't working for tips. They were not very attentive and rarely checked in or refreshed drinks. Most of the above complaints are extremely minor, and none of them were dealbreakers (Although the bed comes close. Good thing the room has a jacuzzi tub.) We had a great time, and would definitely go back.
“Pleasantly Surprised!”
We stayed in a Diana's Oasis room and overall our stay was better than we anticipated. Since our stay and experience was better than we thought we'll point out 3 things that could use improvement for a superb rating... 1) Room has a fridge but a microwave is also needed. 2) the towels were very linty. 3) Although the rooms have a fabulous fireplace it would be nice if they would supply at least one complementary log for your first night and also some sort of seating or cushion area in front of the fireplace instead of just hard tile. Some things we were very pleased with... 1) Food - others have complained about the food but we found it better than average, no real complaints here. 2) Entertainment - each night featured a different band and no lack of activities throughout the day. 3) the Staff - always friendly and ready to please with a smile. The only other thing we could complain about is the price of the drinks - way too expensive. The trick is to come prepared and that will help. If you're thinking about staying here we say go for it - no deal breakers here, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be going back again.
“cozy and romantic but boring without music.”
the hotrl did not have music that was comfortable. the bose system that was there only played radio stations. i would have liked to have played my own music like on a CD player with surround sound like the apple suites. There were too few towels. especially for the bathroom.
“3 hours to check inn”
the vanity light in the bathroom didnt work when we went in to check the room. After 3 people could not get it to work, we finally got the keys and entered a different room, 3 and a half hours after we got to the check in desk. One remote control had a dead battery and the other died with unable to unplug power, hidden connection, couldnt turn down volume or turn off tv without calling office. Not a good trip. Maybe they have better days but not for us !!!
“Not for everyone”
It was not for us... We were expecting something different...
“not impresed”
my husband and i went with our friends and we were all dissapointed.the shower was dirty mildew all over.the entertainment wasn't good unless you like disco.the food was mediocre and the drinks pricey.they were understaffed but the front desk was very friendly.we won't go back.
