I loved this hotel! We had a huge 2 bedroom apartment! Full kitchen, living room and dining room area. Spotless rooms, comfy bed, incredibly friendly staff. Short walk to CMU and even shorter walk to wonderful Walnut Street shops and restaurants.
The hotel is really a converted apartment building, actually several buildings, but we were in the main one with the office/Lobby. Completely redone on the inside.
One tip is to not take bags to check in...there are stairs and your room will likely use a different entrance.

Very nicely redecorated historic hotel, located in a quiet downtown location with a lovely college campus near by. The staff were well informed when suggesting local activities. The lobby is beautiful, I can see why it is used so frequently for weddings! We had a very relaxing visit and would certainly suggest the hotel to others.

We had a great experience due to the kindness and readiness to help of the owner. He allowed us to enter the suite a bit earlier as we were arriving earlier than the usual time to get in and he upgraded our reservation to accomodate this request. When we arrived he was there, greeted us, was helpful in showing us possible parking off the street and invited us to contact him if anything was missing or had a question.
The suite was beautiful, clean and well equipped. Great place!

"Good place, becoming the "Inn" part of Comfort Inn & Suites"
The Inn was built at same time as, and to same standards as the Comfort Suites next door, and will likely be the "Inn" part of the Comfort Inn & Suites (via a new connecting corridor) by the time you read this.
The room was clean, comfortable, and as good as or better than other Comfort Inns/Suites I've stayed in. We had a first floor room facing I-70, and noise was not a problem (good sound insulation). Hot breakfast (not just continental) was over in the Comfort Suites, including the chain's signature make-them-yourself waffles. There's a very good Italian restaurant (Angelo's) just across the street.
The location is on the south side of I-70 above the mall - easy access to/from I-70 E, reasonable access to/from I-70 W. We stayed here to go to the Washington County fair (I-70 E to I-79 N to Meadowlands) - park at the trolley museum to avoid evening traffic. The whole stay worked out well for us, and we'll probably go back here next year, assuming that the rebranding doesn't result in a major rate hike.
