After finding the hotel online, I did not know what to expect- I have never heard of or encountered this newly renovated mansion/hotel. We found that the is located in a nice neighborhood that is not too far away from the campus of the University of Pittsburgh (Shadyside). The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful during our check-in, and were very accommodating to our needs during our stay. The room itself was small, but made up for that with modern furniture and a very luxurious bathroom. The bar and restaurant inside provided excellent meals, and were not too overpriced. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and we would be happy to stay there again.

Whether travelling for business or pleasure, the Shadyside Inn is the perfect little getaway. From our initial greeting to the final good-byes, our stay w/ the Shadyside Inn was warm and welcoming. Nestled in a quiet, turn of the century neighborhood designed for comfortable strolls to early morning pancakes or late night brews, it was hard to believe we were only minutes from the bustle of downtown Pittsburgh. The suite, tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, and complete with all the comforts of home, made our getaway the ideal respite for rest and relaxation. Thank you!

Very nicely redecorated historic hotel, located in a quiet downtown location with a lovely college campus near by. The staff were well informed when suggesting local activities. The lobby is beautiful, I can see why it is used so frequently for weddings! We had a very relaxing visit and would certainly suggest the hotel to others.

Very close to Shadyside hospital and Hillman Cancer Center. We only stayed one night but the room was basically an apartment so and extended stay would work very well. Very clean room, fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals (must bring your own food), and relatively easy to park. Also, very close to several excellent restaurants in the Shadyside neighborhood. Will definitely stay again.

"Good place, becoming the "Inn" part of Comfort Inn & Suites"
The Inn was built at same time as, and to same standards as the Comfort Suites next door, and will likely be the "Inn" part of the Comfort Inn & Suites (via a new connecting corridor) by the time you read this.
The room was clean, comfortable, and as good as or better than other Comfort Inns/Suites I've stayed in. We had a first floor room facing I-70, and noise was not a problem (good sound insulation). Hot breakfast (not just continental) was over in the Comfort Suites, including the chain's signature make-them-yourself waffles. There's a very good Italian restaurant (Angelo's) just across the street.
The location is on the south side of I-70 above the mall - easy access to/from I-70 E, reasonable access to/from I-70 W. We stayed here to go to the Washington County fair (I-70 E to I-79 N to Meadowlands) - park at the trolley museum to avoid evening traffic. The whole stay worked out well for us, and we'll probably go back here next year, assuming that the rebranding doesn't result in a major rate hike.
