“Fantastic Hotel!”

Recently returned from stay at Royal Victoria, lovely hotel. Great location - overlooks River Arno & only a 10 min walk to Leaning Tower etc. Staff - v helpful & friendly from reception to housekeeping staff, nothing is to much trouble. Rooms - cheapest(std)rooms are fine, but on the small side. Rooms with supp (Tradional) are slightly bigger. Decor inside hotel is like a snap-shot in time...elegant dressing tables, art deco lights/chandeliers in breakfast room with portraits (poss previous hotel owners ancestors?), tiled hallways and painted ceilings...lovely! Would recommend.

Hôtel absolument majestueux qui vous ramène aux plus belles heures du XIXème siècle. Vous pourriez croiser Zola ou Pirandello dans les escaliers, ils y ont d'ailleurs séjourné. la situation est exceptionnelle, le personnel tout à fait charmant. Les parties communes sont superbement décorées.

“Old world charm”

I agree with another traveler who said if you need to be in Pisa this is a charming place to be. Lovely little roof garden. Writing room has balcony overlooking the river. Historical pictures of hotel and area with antiques decorate this hotel. Like being in an old style modest but proud villa. Really pleasant to have breakfast in their dining room. Staff very nice and helpful.

“Friendly and helpful”

We only stayed one night. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were amazing nothing was too mush trouble. There was something wonderful to see on every floor it was a true taste of Italy. It was only a short walk from the tower and the station.

The Hotel is a classic , the furishings are delightfull the staff are so helpfull and pleasant . alltogether superb place to stay .

Whilst this is an old style hotel it was very comfortable.Breakfast was continental but varied and more than sufficient.The rooms are high ceilinged and large and had an old world feel.I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

“A wonderful experience”

This historic hotel was a joy to visit and stay in, a really beautiful old building full of antique furniture, pianos and interesting prints and objects from the past. Perhaps past it's prime but a very old-colonial feel. I gather rooms vary according to price but it's not nearly as expensive in Pisa as say Florence. Staff were extremely helpful and the hotel does all it can to make your stay a pleasant one, I would definitely stay here again.

Wow is all I can say, it's like stepping back in time. Beautiful hotel, great service, couldn't get any more central, would definitely stay there again.

“Great place to stay in Pisa”

The hotel has an old fashioned charm. It has great location and is only about 8 mins walk from the leaning tower. Hotel reception staff extremely helpful and also could sell bus tickets back to the airport, they gve directions to places to eat etc. Breakfast extremely generous and would definitely recommend this hotel. Price was very reasonable, particularly in comparison with other B&Bs and hotels.
