Good location closed to everything

Posted 21-Nov-2014
Our trip was started good & excited till the fourth day when we visited Hollywood . The day was ruining by a city parking officer, who we were tried to ask for help to show us where was the public parking. Instead to give an instruction he gave us a ticket of stopping there to ask him. He just ignored of our questions, he told us let him finished the ticket then he would answered our questions. We had never experienced so humanity like that before.

Good Choice - Winner

Posted 20-Nov-2014
Pros: Everything. Clean.
Cons: Breakfast. I would rather the hotel charges a few more bucks but provide better breakfast.
Location: Not much near by but it is in town. Plenty of restaurants.
This place is good for the money. Not very expensive but got what you need. It is clean. Good size room. You have a working desk, a small dining table. A sofa. Comfortable warm bed. Clean bathroom. Has a microwave and fridge, both clean. Plenty of good size parking space. Only the breakfast is awful. But everything else is good. Again, this is not a Marriott or Hilton, but for the money we paid for. We are winners.

Terrible Bed. Beware.

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Pros: Cleanliness, quality of bathroom area, city where the hotel is, and staff.
Cons: The mattress was of very poor quality. It was old, the springs were broken and noisy when laying down. The firmness was way past it's usable life.
Location: Pico Rivera is near LA's China Town and is very convenient for those wishing to go there.
I've stayed in dozens of hotels. This Howard Johnson's could be a great inexpensive place to say. However, the mattress was way past it's usable life. It made for a very unconformable night. My wife and I woke up very sore the next morning. I complained to the staff at checkout, but it fell on deaf ears. The agent did say some mattresses were in need of replacement, but did not offer me any type of discount or a free night's stay in the future. This should have happened.

Nice price, Clean Place but a bit far from LA area

Posted 18-Nov-2014
Pros: Room is clean which is why i return back and they have all amenities just right there. It's very comfortable. Staffs are very helpful. Pass the test.
This is my second times back to this hotel. But this time i'm head to Universal Studio. When I arrived to the hotel. The room is ready then We get inside the room everything is great and CLEAN . All basic amenities you need is there. But couple things they have to work on are the wireless connection cause it is hard to connect. And the towels in bath room is tough. Well anyway Great Price in the safe area. Little bit far from LA but we can work on.

Pros: Location, price, and amenities.
Cons: The continental breakfast was a bit weak, and the orange juice was a bit too strong, but over all it was acceptable.
Location: Great Thai food place across the street, plus it's right next to a dollar store in case you forget something.
Clean, with great amenities. The room came with a large mini-fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board, as well as a small safe for any valuables. It's on a pretty quite street, and has great blackout curtains, so sleeping was easy. It's a reasonable drive to LA, and surrounded by a wide variety of food places. Exactly what I was looking for, HoJo doesn't let'cha down!

Central location

Posted 24-Oct-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness
Cons: Have the staff check the breakfast area more often as we have to ask for replenishment of items/supplies couple times.
Location: 605 Freeway,Target, laundry, food are all close by. Check out the 99 cents store next door! We got a whole 10+ pound watermelon for $1.
Spent a week in LA to visit relatives. Location is great since we can pop onto the highway in minutes yet there is no traffic noise at night. As I do not need or expect amenities for a 3 star hotel, I get a very good value for the price. Room is clean, and water is hot. The simple breakfast is good enough to fill me up to start the day.
