Great staff, and enjoyed what seems to be the typical italian hotel breakfast. American Coffee was really good. Only issue proved to be the rather prominent pipe noises that resonated periodically through the night. Not sure how they can mitigate the issue, but ear plugs were a necessity for my wife. I am ex navy so I sleep through it all.

We did a last minute booking, 5 min before getting there and got a very good deal. Room is indeed a bit small, perfect for an overnight stop! I wouldn’t stay a week!

Business trip to Piacenza.
Good location for Expo Piacenza. On site secure parking Friendly and helpful staff Clean room with a mini bar and large shower. Good onsite restaurant serving local dishes and wines. Would certainly stay there again when in Piacenza.

Comfortable beds, quiet location, friendly staff, excellent WiFi, delicious breakfast, space for four in one room (if two don't mind sharing a pullout). The hotel is one of the finest local hotels I've had the pleasure to enjoy. A little pricey, but a price that was certainly worth paying.

Perfect for a family stopover
A couple with a young child booking a 3 bed room. Perfect for our travel stop-over. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was great. The staff at check-in/out & in the restaurant were lovely. The inclusive breakfast had a huge selection. Oh & it’s quiet & beds comfy. Perfect for our stopover.

We had a most pleasant overnight stay in this hotel which is extremely convenient for the motorway as it is near the Piacenza Ovest exit - hence the name - although it is not 'disturbed' by this. I particularly want to recommend the level of service as we found it exemplary from all staff members. We ate in the restaurant and had a very good meal served by a cheerful, pleasant and helpful young lady. When asked, she recommended a wine to go with our meal and it turned out to be delicious and good value. I frequently select hotels based on the recommendations of other reviewers for breakfast. If you do likewise then this is one for you. The breakfast was extremely varied with both hot and cold food and delicious coffee. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great place if you have a car
Great fairly modern place at a great price. Nicely remodeled. People are super nice and helpful. We appreciated the free barista expresses with breakfast. One issue is that there is absolutely no parking anywhere near so you have to pay $11 a night extra parking fee. There is nothing at all in that neighborhood and you have to drive 1.5 miles to city center - which was not that great. It's also a 10 min drive to getting main highways to Milan or Parma which we ended up doing a lot.

Good hotel for overnight stopover or business
We booked this hotel at the last minute for an overnight stopover while travelling between Tuscany and Piedmont regions. Gentleman on reception was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and there was a good buffet selection at breakfast. Staff in both reception and restaurant spoke good English which was helpful for those of us who can't speak Italian. Secure overnight parking at a reasonable price.

Great stopover
If you are driving from UK to southern Italy this is a great place to break your journey, it being just a few minutes from the main route and no need to bother with the hassle of trying to negotiate the center of town by car but you can walk there in 20 minutes or so. Hotel was fine, quiet, an enormous comfy bed and all facilities including a decent breakfast. Would return for sure.

Very good for a stopover
I chose the hotel for its location as I was driving home to England from Puglia. It is within just a few minutes of the motorway network. It is also just a few minutes from Piacenza town centre. I recommend Piacenza as a very pleasant town for a brief visit: nice shops, a variety of eating places and lovely old buildings - good atmosphere too. The reception staff were very helpful in guiding me where I could park in town, and where I would find things in town. My room was perfectly clean and had all the facilities that I required. Breakfast was decently good, but I would have liked a bit more variety. Overall I was very satisfied.

Perfect for an overnight stop
An ideal choice for breaking your journey to or from Italy. Easy to find and only a few minutes from the autoroute. Secure parking, friendly receptionists, clean pleasant and quiet room (small double plenty big enough for two men, cello and saxophone) and spacious bathroom with great shower. Breakfast in a nice room with friendly service and all you could want available. Piacenza has lots of nice restaurants and bars within 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It was worth not being right in the centre in order to have easy access when tired after a long drive.

Awesome stay while in Piacenza
Right from the start, Hotel Ovest exceeded our expectations. Favio was a very kind and well informed host. The room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was great as well. The internet in the rooms was not perfect, but if that's my only complaint, they must be doing something right. I highly recommend this place.

Nothing but good things to say about this hotel. We picked it based on previous reviews, because of it's location near the A1 highway. Indeed, the location is only a minor detour from that route, and the neighborhood is very quiet. The facility, including the gated parking, was immaculately clean. We had booked for two adults and a child, and were pleased to find that the sofa bed had already been made up before we arrived. The decor was opulent without being gaudy (a balance that can be hard to find in Italy). There was a minibar fridge with enough room in it to store a few items overnight. The shower was large. The staff we encountered were friendly and had a good command of English. The breakfast buffet included tasty scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, as well as rolls and pastries, deli meats and cheeses, yogurt, fruit, cold cereals, several fresh juices, and coffee. We felt quite well fed. All in all, we considered this stop to have been a success.

Recommended for a stop over en route south
Decided to stay here as it was a convenient distance from the previous nights stop over and without then having a long drive to the final destination. Recommendations on this site and the fact that there was secure parking made the decision of where to stay easier. A friendly welcome and a very pleasant surprise when opening the door as the furnishings were certainly a class above chain hotel standards. We also ate there in the evening and cannot fault the food or presentation so that saved having to hunt out a restaurant. The only thing missing were tea/coffee making facilities but that's a small matter. Wifi was ok once we sorted out a multiple equipment code as the initial password was for one item only. With being close to the autopista (which was very busy on the Saturday morning) we would definitely return on a similar journey.

The Hotel Ovest in Piacenza was a convenient overnight sstop for us on our way to Florence. Staff at reception were outstanding, and we thought our bedrooms were excellent - cool, spacious and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant rather than set out in the heat and after a long drive to look for somewhere else: it was adequate, with some rather inefficient but cheerful service, though not somewhere to make a detour to eat at! The hotel itself however we should recommend wiithout hesitation.

The hotel is much comfortable and the manager and the servixes are excellent. The place of the hotel is ordinary but is nearest the highway so is very very accessible.

Super Hôtel !
Nous avons tout apprécié au sein de l'hôtel, ainsi que le réceptionniste parlant français. Le seul bémol, découvrir en partant que le prix du parking de 12€ pour une nuit, mais tout le reste est parfait, mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner et les 2 personnes dédiées à ce service.

Mi hanno detto che la stanza small è con il letto alla francese ma non era indicato sul vostro sito. Ho dovuto pagare un supplemento per avere un letto regolare. Anche per il parcheggio non mi hanno detto che era a pagamento e poi me lo hanno messo in conto. Poco serio
