“Perfect for a relaxing getaway”
The JW Marriott at Khao Lak (Cher Fah Resort) has recently been rebuilt, so the facilities are spectacular. The rooms are fantastically appointed and so comfortable. We had a pool access room, which meant opening up the room door and jumping into the pool - what could be better. The staff are a little inexperienced and their English isn't always the best, so there are occassional hiccups with the service, but it didn't bother us. What was more important was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. The hotel is a little way out of the town, which makes it nice and peaceful, but does mean a bit of a taxi ride when you get tired of the hotel restaurants and want to try something else. The restaurants themselves serve very good quality food, but are a little limited in their range. This may still be because the hotel is still in the process of opening all its facilities. I'd definitely go back, it was probably the most relaxing holiday I've had.

The Hotel was amazing!!! The grounds are just gorgeous & the staff are absolutely fantastic. We could not have asked for more. We travelled to Khao Lak and stayed at the Marriott for 9 nights with our 15 month old son. He was treated like a King (as were we) the whole time we were there. There was a porta-cot set up in our room on arrival and the car that picked us up from the airport had a baby car seat fitted. By the 2nd day most of the staff knew our son's name and were doting on him day & night. The breakfast was divine. There were cooked foods, a smoothie bar, fresh fuits and breads, omlette's made on request. Each morning the staff would play/look after our boy while we enjoyed a lovely breakfast looking out over the beach. I cannot say enough about how friendly, helpful, accommodating, and just wonderful the staff were. Each day they went out of their way to make sure everything for our stay was just perfect. The facilities at the resort were excellent. There is a supermarket in town were you can get most of the essentials from home you would need including nappies, wipes, snacks, bread, beer etc. The hotel restaurants were great - especially 'Olive'. More expensive than the local ones but worth it for the experience. There are 2 great restaurant/massage places just down the beach from the resort which you have to try at least once while you're there - great food and lovely people. Overall an excellent resort (for familes & couples alike) and we can't wait to return!

Service irréprochable. Serveuse aux petits soins avec les enfants. Garderie gratuite avec espace de jeux tout neuf. Kayak, bouées, planches de surf gratuitement à disposition. Plagiste avec transats et serviettes de plages immenses toujours à disposition. Apporte régulièrement des verres d'eau glaçés aux personnes sur les transats. Plage et hôtel très propres, bien entretenus. SPA exceptionnel, reposant, calme, luxueux. Masseuses soucieuses du bien-être et de l'intimité des clients. Offre promotionnelle pour 2 super avantageuse, 3 fois moins cher qu'en France et 3 fois mieux! Bar dans la piscine avec happy hour - 50 % sur tous les cocktails de 17h à 19h, situation idéal pour admirer le superbe coucher de soleil dans la mer, dans l'axe de la piscine. Pour les excursions, c'est très rassurant de passer par l'hôtel. Nous avions acheté un DVD d'une excursion, dont nous n'étions pas contents de la qualité, l'hôtel a demandé à l'agence de l'excursion de nous rembourser, ce qui a été fait sans discuter. Vraiment un hôtel pour passer des vacances bien reposantes. Que du +.
“Hotel Marriott Khao Lak : splendide, romantique, aux petits soins”
Nous avons passé un séjour extraordinaire dans cet hôtel magnifique. La plage est superbe et le personnel est toujours aux petits soins. Les chambres sont très spacieuses et très jolies. La piscine est charmante et très vaste! Aucune fausse note.
“Top marks”
We have stayed in many hotels in Thailand over the years and this one must rate as one of the best. I could not fault it in any aspect and would certainly return to it. We had a pool access room but would have been fine with one of the rooms on the other floors. Everything was done to make our 11 night stay comfortable and enjoyable. Great place.
“Great stay at JW Marriott Khao Lak”
JW Mariott Khao Lak is a fantastic hotel and my wife and I had a great stay. A little far from the airport in Phuket at 1-1/4 hour drive but worth it as the hotel is very secluded and on its own stretch of beach. Hotel is quite large and rooms are very nice; we stayed on second floor and thought it was great. The bottom floor rooms have pool access outside their rooms but thought it was a bit weird having people swim by your door so opted for second floor which turned out great as we had an ocean view. Breakfast was excellent with great variety. Did not each at other restaurants as there are a dozen or so locally owned restaurants directly on the breach which were very good and well priced; would recommend trying them all! The hotel staff, services and amenities were very good and we were very pleased with the stay. There were plenty of beach chairs and lots of space around the pool the sit and relax. We did the day tour to the Similan Islands and had a great time, definately recommend.

“Can't wait to return”
Great experience with only 2 exceptions: shower drain was clogged, flooding bathroom floor - corrected. The dvd player did not work; the technician was unable to fix the problem - not corrected. LOVE the canal style swimming pool to main pool...
“Nice Hotel but...”
Chinese New Year holiday, the hotel was fully booked. The landscape of the hotel is beautifully manicured. The pool zig-zag its way around the hotel which makes it very enjoyable if you are on the first floor cause its just outside your balcony. The beach area is very relaxing and quiet. One thing I recommend is to go there early with your towel(s) to reserve your beach chair cause you will be out of luck in finding available chairs after 9am. The staff are very friendly and takes hospitality very seriously. They will make reservation for you at your favorite restaurant and recommend which local activities worth seeing. The one drawback about our stay was the room always has the moldy smell. The housekeeper supplied us with endless scented candle to cover up for the smell. We have to call guest service twice in two days because our television was not working properly (no sound and no image). On our last day of stay, the whole building number four did not have hot water to take shower. We enjoyed the hotel surroundings but our room is something to avoid.
