The staff was amazing very friendly and helpful but this building had a really bad roach and ant issue. Arriving we were greeted with a plate of fruit in our room when i moved the menu next to it a roach ran out. after qe removed the plastic later that day small roaches started coming out onto the table. There was also mold in the shower and our room balcony faced a shack they was not appealing to the eye where different men would come and go throughout the day. The walls were extremely thin you could hear everything from the room next door and upstairs, we couldn't laugh without our neighbors hearing us.

Generally good condition and location in Patong, very near beach, many food and massage, many tuktuk taxi available, swimming pool is small but little people so ok, breakfast restaurant is not central, far from lobby. Spa is higher priced as compared to streets. Street food many seafood, price ok. Some can be more expensive. Not all is cheaper. Overall is nice getaway place, have to go island trips for swimming and snorkeling,worth the price.

Hotel is near to Patong Beach, has a 7-11 next door and is about 20 minute walk to Jung Ceylon. The hotel surprised us with beautiful decorations and a huge fruit plate in our room for our wedding anniversary trip. Wifi is also very good. The only setback is that the free shuttle is limited to 5 scheduled times. It would be great if they provide it on demand. Another setback is that the shower heater is not consistent. It can suddenly turn very hot or very cold during a shower. Breakfast is also only average compared to Phuket Graceland. Otherwise, love the view! Can see the whole Patong.

Only if you want a jacuzzi with a view
It has changed a lot during the years, now its always full booked by Chinese Stay only if you want a jacuzzi with view other than that find another hotel the old good days are over.

Worse service and rooms ever had in my travels, the front desk was of no help at any time nor did the attend to any of my request to change a room for a bad order, dirty sheets with stains, need a iron, fix the broken safe.

Apart from mouldy bathrooms the rooms were the only good thing about this hotel. It can take up to 10 minuets to get from your room to the street though the maze of corridors and multiple elevators. My whole family got sick from eating here.

It is vacation time
We booked premier Jacuzzi room meant for 2 adults and 2 kids but after arriving had to pay for kids breakfast. Facility is near beach but not having its own private beach. Means you have to carry all accessories to beach. Staff not so friendly compared to other places like Bali. It is just ok but will not return to this on my next visit. .

Great place to stay
Really enjoyed our stay (approx 1 hour from airport). Staff were helpful. Room was clean and modern with free water daily and free wifi. Great sea view. As we were on the top floor we had to take 3 elevators. Full buffet breakfast to suit all tastes. I think one of the positives is that it is within walking distance to the beach and shops. We were able to book a couple of shows which included transfers.

First impression - Check In Process was not pleasant, it was rather messy and we were issue the wrong room card, the staff that led us to the room did not offer to change for us realising it was wrong instead she ask us to do it ourselves at the reception. Our luggage was left at the reception area when they mention they will deliver to our room. However, Kudos to the staffs which pulled off the birthday surprise that was planned. The rooms were clean and spacious. There is a bit of walk to the rooms depending which block you are staying. There is a convenient store and bike rental shop next to the hotel. Overall, the stay was pleasant minus the check in process.

Reception and dining hall could do with an upgrade . Breakfast buffet largely carters for Asian cuisine. Tour desk was great . The platform around the bed is really in the way when you want to get out of bed. Views from sea facing rooms is great but it is at least 600-700m walk to the beach. The carpets in the lifts can really be replaced. Jacuzzi was good. There is no packing shelves in cupboard so we had to keep clothes in suitcase. The bathrooms even though modern needs grout around bath replaced .

Nice rooms and some have nice view. Location wise I prefer Best Western Patong and Andaman Embrace which are walking distance to beaches, restaurants and nightlife.

Hotel was recommended by a friend. We took the jacuzzi room and were disappointed: reception is total mess, very far to get to room, jacuzzi didn’t work properly we had to call staff which took another 30 min, room wasn’t clean there was a lot of hair leftover, and we could hear the neighbors loudly. The checkout was even worse, very chaotic. The rest was okay

I was in room E109 and there problems were with the design of the hotel, something that cannot be fixed without major changes made. The problem was: 1. The drain for the shower doesn't exist. There is one drain on the corner of the toilet which is at the other end of the bathroom. When you shower, the whole bathroom is flooded because the water has to travel the entire floor to the drain on the other side, showering in your own dirty water. 2. The wash basin is inbuilt but the sides have nothing to trap the water so if you spill some water while washing your face or hands, it makes it's way on the floor coz the bench top slides it down. 3. Asked for a shower before going to the airport (after checkout) but the shower room has little to no privacy with transparent glass in place. Hard to describe but it was weird with people being able to see me from the bar area while I was shaving. The issues are architectural and nothing that can be fixed easily. Luckily, I stayed there only for 1 night. The staff is friendly but not worth 4 stars

Lovely hotel close to beach & great sunset views
Our 4th stay - always book block C deluxe sea view room 3rd or fourth floor. Staff are great as is the food in the restaurant. Rainy season lasted till end November this year so next year we will go back in December or January.

Nice Resort with amenities nearby
It was a nice experience staying at Sea Sun Sand Resort & Spa. It has a small pool which is empty most of the time as many prefer the beach. Walkable distance to restaurants / eateries and shopping areas / mall, massage (HealthLand Massage) and beach. The wall is thin between rooms could hear next door guest snoring at night.

We have stayed at this resort many times and the staff are wonderful. Always smiling and willing to do anything for you. Food is good. Set in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Patong.. Short walk to the beach.

It was ok but i guess u get wt u paid for. The location was quite and less than five mins away from the action bu motor bike or tuk tuk .the tuktuk has fixed price of 200baht to d mall around d area while bike u can negotiate to 100 The place was ok but service was so so , breakfast wasnt that great if u looking for international buffet,we skipped bfast couple of times. The staff was young and hard headed about little requests , the construction oin the pool area started last day while we there - luckily . The sound proof was not effective , if u have loud neighbours jus ask for room change dont bother u ll still hear sound. Overalli guess u get wt u paid for

The worst hotel I had ever stayed
When we first entered the room, we felt satisfied as the room looked clean at the first glance but subsequently some situations had struck us and we were so disappointed. We booked room with sea view but it only came with partial sea view as the right side was blocked by its own hotel buildings. Chairs at balcony weren't really clean and marks of dirt can be seen on the sofa. The worst thing happened after we took bath; vapor arose from bath could not dissipate but remained in room which even caused the mirror outside bathroom became foggy, floor then became wet and the latter was wet all night until the next morning! Furthermore, there were no slippers provided in room so we wore our own ones. Whole room became humid with a moldy smell and bed was slightly damp. Besides, lift couldn't function when we wanted to go out for a supper. The only fortunate thing was the breakfast, as varieties were served with choice of vegetarian and taste was ok. However, dining hall was not air-conditioned; we were given hard boiled egg though ordered for half-boiled. Generally, all staff were kind and friendly with smiles on their faces but condition of the hotel was really not up to expectation and not value for money. With the same amount of money spent, you may definitely get a better one.

Overall a good hotel in central Patong
Sea Sun Sands is a good hotel overall. The central location is great, the staff are very polite and helpful and the food is pretty decent and reasonably priced. The hotel building is a little rough around the edges and could benefit from a little work, but it's generally okay. The layout is a little different with the main lobby at street level and the majority of rooms built higher up the side of the hill. No problem for us, but I guess it wouldn't be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. If you can't check in early and have a long wait don't wait in the main lobby as it's a little dark and gets very busy. I'd suggest heading up to the main bar as it's much more pleasant. We stayed in a pool access room and my top tip would be to contact the hotel in order to request a 3rd floor room as the pool access rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors and the 2nd floor rooms are completely shaded by the above pool. The 3rd floor ones looked a lot nicer in the sun. Overall it was definitely worth the £60pn and if I was ever in Patong I'd stay there again.

Reasonable price
Big room and tv cable, fast wifi and pleasant staff. Breakfast is at Blk C which need to take 2 lifts from lobby to get there(5mins walk). Hotel near halal eateries walking distance 10mins to mosque. There are 2 pools, gets abit crowded when peak season.
